Don't see ill Kiserlovsky doing second GT in a row.

Even Kreuziger doing this can backfire both long and short term.

Di Gregorio, Grivko, Vaitkus, Fofonov, Davis, Vino (duh), Kessiakof (maybe if he finds the form).

Kiserlovsky could be going as a Leader for La Vuelta?
and What about Masciarelli instead Kessiakof? He was doing great in Il Giro until Grossglockner where He had to retire...
And Kreuziger shouldnt go to Le Tour... better to rest and not to burn himself...

yes, Goss is the great hope at the moment! We'll see I guess, after Cavendish, theres probably no reason why he couldn't compete on a level with anyone else once he fully realises his potential.

2006 2nd Lombardy 2nd FW.
2007 - 3rd in Vuelta, winning 3 stages. 3rd in Lombardy
2008 Gold.
2009 2nd Vuelta, 2nd Lombardy
2010 4th TDF (denied third by injury)
2011 3rd FW. (GP Mig)

Im not seeing this odd year pattern.

It is an odd year anyway

You're becoming worse than me as a fanboy, Hitch!

btw, RIDE's TDF GUIDE will be out in about 10 days for Australians. Great TDF guide book.

It's mentioned several times: the first week is special for Gilbert. Which cyclist will also be seen in the first week, especially in those difficult finishes?

Would have been perfect for Sagan. Don't understand why he doesn't peak there this year.

evans. He might not beat gilbert but he will be up there. He has a pretty good sprint for those hill finishes.

From a norwegian perspective, I hope Hushovd and EBH can show themselves in stage 1 (though probably not) and 5, as well as stage 3.

Vino, Evans, Sammy Sanchez, Kolobnev and Leukemans are other names to watch out for in tricky finishes - not to mention Voeckler if he can keep his spring form.

Leukemans will probably do the leadout for Gilbert.

what i'm looking forward is stage to st fluor, classic like, it's long, before big mountains which means that big breakaways won't be allowed and if some team pulls hard at front on these 4 back to back climbs that have big percentages and then with 50 to go when peloton is splitted to 30-40 riders kinds of vino and kolobnev on attack

And that means we'll see him during the first week, right? ;) Like Vanendert in the Ardennes.

Do you guys also expect something from Hesjedahl, Offredo, Ivanov and the Schleck brothers in these difficult finishes?

I like Cadel Evans' chances more than I usually do. I wouldn't mind seeing him win a Tour for a change. I'll be pulling for Andy though. I became a fan last year and that hasn't changed. The only reason I'd like Contador to win is because if he wins a Giro Tour double, he really has no choice but to ride the Vuelta and try for a triple. No one's ever done it, and I'm a big fan of watching history be made.

The real question is, though, how many stages will Mark Cavendish win and will he win a 3rd consecutive Champs Elysees stage?

Obvious answer. He'll win all flat stages that will end in a bunch sprint. Perhaps lose the first sprint stage like he usually does, but then start winning them all.

Not surprised that Evans is on the cover as it's an Aussie mag, but odd that they chose to highlight A Schleck instead of Contador.

Actually, I don't see anything about Contador on the cover at all?

Maybe the date change happened after they went to the printer.

If he doesn't win Contador should (and probably will) and go for the triple :D

I don't see Contador doing the Vuelta if that is what you mean by the tripple :p

Guy needs a break after the Tour.
