Isn't that akin to using Hannibal Lecter as a character reference?

If I am not mistaken, Dr Lecter was Eddy's nutritionist not Lance's.
Can't see what that has to do with the Trek/LeMond trial??

I idolize these guys, they are my heroes. I hope to some day reach their level of enlightenment....until then I remain their humble servant.

I need to figure out which one to use as my avatar, which one do you think looks best?

I think the 18 wheeler guy looks best but that is Personal according to Susan so you may want to rethink your question.

You guys are really good at this sort of foolishness of calling names and posting personal photos. Still mad because someone thinks that Greg’s name on a bike was not a good thing? Seriously what did he contribute to the bike that Trek was making? Did he spend hours with the designers on setting up the design to be unique and special? No he just sat at his house from what I can tell and made phone calls to people and recorded them.

Thank you.
As to your other point, since you have absolutely no idea what Greg did or did not have to do with the design and marketing of his bikes, no response is needed. It would be like arguing with a moron about quantum physics.

Your just afraid to make a comment which you know to be false. Greg made little to no contributions to the design of the bike. Everyone knows that including race radio.

If you are going to make that claim then you are also making the claim the Trek's own marketing literature regarding the LeMond bikes was full of lies since a huge part of their marketing was that LeMond himself was involved in the design process from the ground up. Everyone who worked in the bicycle industry for a Trek dealer knows that including you.

That is true, they always advertised that the bikes were designed based on Greg's knowledge from years of racing in Europe. You don't suppose that Hombre is right and Trek was just lying to us all this time?

Wow - so when someone signs a contract allowing a manufacturer to 'licence' their name they have to design the bike too? I suppose he had to do all the frame building himself, sweep up and turn off the lights.

Trek will easily win this case on that revelation alone.

I read somewhere in the current depositions that it was revealed that he done very little to no work that he has claimed. Most of the claims about the bike were done for marketing purposes which were made to help try and sell the bike with Lemond’s name on them.

How come you get to call names and make personal insults but do not care that someone has a different opinion?

Ignorance is a deficiency of knowledge, not an insult. Fanboy is what you are. No name calling at all.

Of course some the Public Strategies talking points were that the Bikes were designed to Greg's specifications which were "Too Relaxed" for the American Marketplace.

Nice work, they slam the guy for a poorly designed bike then slam him for not designing the bike. Marketing at work......kinda like a Chiropractor who goes on internet message boards and pretends he is a surgeon.

Twelve posts in and he's already whining about being picked on. Is this just another reincarnation of BPC?

Does it make sense for Trek to use Michele Ferrari as a witness in the upcoming trial?

I would think so. The average Minnesotan on the Jury will NOT know who the heck Ferrari is - and it sure would make sense for Trek to highlight all the NON-DOPING benefits and advice he supplied.

Sure, the prosecution will slime him REALLY bad on NON-Lance stuff, but what does that REALLY have to do with the NON-DOPING Lance services he provided? Seems it would be important to show that. How sympathetic a figure does Michele Ferrari present on a witness stand?

Of course, if the good Michele Ferrari DID dope Lance things might get sticky:)

Per DR F:

"Greg Lemond on LeMonde proposed the usual rancid suspicions on his performances.....An absolutely false valuation"

Presenting the facts of what and who he is cannot be characterized as sliming someone. That is just telling the truth. Maybe talk to the Uniballer about sliming people, he seems to continue to do so to Contador. What a loser.

From what you can tell? Well, considering the source, I would have to say that your assessment holds little to no water. It does hold a lot of Lance's chamois cream however.

Why not? So you’re sourcing me? The other comments I think you should consider something more appropriate for a cycling forum.

Ok - imagine if Trek (or Public Strategies) managed to show that Dr. Ferrari was all wholesome and good - and had never doped Lance.
How would Trek then go on to show that Greg referencing Dr. Ferraris involvement with Lance was a bad thing that harmed their sales?

I would love to see Ferrari on the stand in a Federal courtroom - he could tell the press when he was finished that "I'll ride my bike, hoping that you'll stop writing shit about me."...like he did to Cycling Weekly.

Chamois cream is a cycling related product. You running up after Lance finishes a ride and grabbing his shorts so that you can snort a rail of his chamois cream is also a subject in the cycling realm. Surely we can all agree on that, no?

I believe it is because LeMond's company is incorporated in MN and Trek is incorporated in WI. But some of the more legally minded individuals can feel free to correct me.

Interstate commerce - one state court vs. the other state court, which probably makes it wind up in Federal court.

Nice try, but Depositions are not accessible on either of those. You will only find motions and rulings.

Let us know when you find something to support your claim.

Same.

I will keep looking if you do. How about coming up with some proof that Lemond done something other than just talk and stir up crap?
