Dude, this is getting sad, you keep getting banned and coming back. It is going to happen again. You are a sad, twisted, mentally ill little troll. Honestly one of the worst I have ever seen.

Arbiter/BPC/Earth Tribe/Max Power/Great White you are truly sad. Answer this question... why do you keep coming back and use a similar username? WE should have a warning thread for all new members to be aware of you.
Why don't you just call yourself "LANCE LOVER"

The sporting act of winning a tour doped. I don't think he was talking about financial matters.

Using a recognized doping Doctor to help you win the Tour would constitute a fraud.

So what was he referring to - in your opinion?

Maybe LeMond WAS thinking in terms of dollars and cents.
Guess we should not be suprised?

But the "greatest fraud" is hyberbole...

There was a separate "greatest fraud/cheat ever" thread, and even in the hater cesspool that is "The Clinic", Lance was far from a unanimous choice.

How about in our little world of cycling. What if Greg's team mate Hinault won any of his Yellows doped? The guy works for the ASO, handing out podium prizes to the youngsters. Would that be a lesser fraud? What if Greg cheated a little bit, would that be a lesser fraud?

So who in your view is the biggest fraud?

So you standby your claim that Lemond's remarks saying it would be the greatest fraud in sporting history if Armstrong doped was "an accurate and reasonable statement"?

Yes.......
Here is what Lemond said - he does not say anything about 'sporting history, stick to the facts Sproket01.

"If [Armstrong's] clean, it's the greatest comeback. And if he's not, then it's the greatest fraud," LeMond said

I am sticking to the facts. This is what the latest article on the trial has the quote as:

"If Lance is clean, it is the greatest comeback in the history of sports," LeMond was quoted saying. "If he isn't, it would be the greatest fraud."

http://www.nydailynews.com/sports/m...009-11-11_lemond_open_to_trek_settlement.html

Do you still stand by that as "reasonable and accurate"?

PS. Who is Sproket01?

But he does have a point about what has Greg done for the sport these days. Not much really!
Walked the point against doping while it wasn't a popular thing to do at all, but did it because it was the right thing to do anyway, and took a severe pounding for it. To me, that alone may have done more for the sport than anyone else involved in it over the last decade or so, especially considering just how incredibly rife our sport is with doping in recent times.

I think you have me confused for someone else. Check out my posts on this thread - there is no trolling. Spamming the thread with pictures, however, is trolling.

Yes........... I think it is reasonable and accurate.
Is Dictionary.com ok for you?

Maybe somebody should appoint Greg as the"Drug Czar" him walking point with only verbal ammo seems pointless.

Well have fun posting irrelevant images. I'm talking about the subject of the thread and asking a simple question.

You seem determined not to answer a simple question. Do think it was reasonable and accurate for LeMond to say if doped it was the biggest fraud in the history of sports? Last try...

But first you tried to claim it was a reference to finanical matters, then you changed the quote, then you only agreed to the "fraud" part of the quote, so I couldn't be sure.

Well I disagree. I think the statement was over the top. Plenty of dopers have succeeded in cycling. It's more a question of which successful cyclists have not doped.

For me it would be Marion Jones - but Gregs comments were in 2001 so it was accurate then.

For me it is every year when the NBA starts, players getting paid more money then most ProTour team's annual budget and only willing to play during the playoffs.:D

Oh wait I guess that might be the same as a rider who chooses to only ride the TdF

No he just sat at his house from what I can tell and made phone calls to people and recorded them.

To clarify...
After Greg expressed his disappointment that lance was seeing Ferrari he started getting threatening phone calls from men involved in cycling who were very tight with lance. You can read about it in "From Lance to Landis". Greg went to the police in Minnesota who suggested he start taping phone calls. So, he took the advice of the police. Pretty smart thing to do.

How about we get the real facts, from the actual interview that the quote appeared an episode of Outside the Lines on EPSN

http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/news/story?id=1841300

"If [Armstrong's] clean, it's the greatest comeback. And if he's not, then it's the greatest fraud," LeMond said.

Armstrong's comeback was the greatest comeback in the history of cycling. His doping is the greatest fraud in the sport. Even the most *** Troll can agree to this.

Who is Spocket1? You must have forgot as he was what, 5-6 bans ago for you?

Denial is the new black;)

It wasn't the greatest comeback in history, he cheated to get back into the sport. it can't be a great comeback if their was a big fat lie behind it all and continual deceit of the general public.
