the fact that you think he underperformed at the TT . is he a good time trialist and i didn't knew? his 11th place is quite good in my opinion. there's no way you could think he could be in the top 5 of this tt unless you're delusional
I wrote he could maybe fight for second half top ten if not for wet roads. You can easily find it few posts above, read properly instead of talking about delusions....

And how he should have lead for SKY at the Giro ...and Kreuz is held back by Contador...there are lots of examples..I haven't time to go back through the forum

I am telling you because you asked ....Again I would say to not take people comments to heart ...its just a discussion forum
Same for you as for Saganboss. Anyway I've never said König should lead Giro, neither I've said Contador is holding Kreuziger back. Why are you lying?

Of course you have no time to go back through posts, because you wouldn't find it there.

Now talking about delusional guys can take place.

Edit: lots of examples.. Exactly, this is just discussion forum, no need to lie, right? When someone lies about what you've said, well, you can take it to year heart.

I had my doubts earlier in the race but today I thought Koenig was very impressive.
After this season it is like a dream. He was very good yesterday. Helped Froome a bit and got decent placing for himself. Only shame good old Alejandro is such a good sprinter :) I wonder whether he was called of to ride pace for Froome and what could have been if he did not and could pursue Chaves.

Anybody know what that white band he uses on his nose, is?

It was a fad a few years ago with footballers like Robbie Fowler. Apparently it makes breathing through the nose easier as it keeps the channels open.

I may be wrong here but im sure it was used mostly by people who had broken noses.

I always heard the story as fowler wearing it because he did too much gear

Hence the penalty spot celebration

theoretically he should mark the Orica boys and a podium finish is extremely probable.
He forgot.
No one knows what happened there exactly. Easy to judge now a make "clever" notes. I am not saying it couldn't be his fault though; it could. But again, we don't really know.

I really feel for the guy. It has to be terrible blow for him. He could have been on the podium with his time trial, who know on what step. He appeared in best shape ever and his shape was improving with race. If his TT improved according so, he could have been even second, or who knows, even first.

Good thing is he managed to show his potential until now.

Konigmlooking much better than all year. Looks like he is actually challenging for the podium. Has a stronger TT then the Orica duo.. But Contador will be a problem and if Froome takes the lead Konig will habe to work more..
Boy, was he a problem.

On a serious note, I feel sorry for König, he is really strong, sad it won't be rewarded with a top-5 or even top-10.

Poels is a far beeter rider who has come back from a life threatening almost career ending injury and shown what he can do...Poles wants to lead a GT and I am sure SKY would give him the go ahead before Koneig. IN fact they wlil give leadership to at least 5 or 6 riders before Koneig
Before season König was back up plan for Giro GC, not Poels. Go figure. What five or six riders?

Let's see:Thomas,Landa,Poels,Henao,Nieve and Roche.Even Kennaugh is higher in Sky ranking.Konig needs to step it up in the smaller races to get any chance to co-lead in a GT,be content with slaving for others or gtfo and ride for himself at another team. He's proven top 10 GT material already and maybe he can do more with proper support and focus but i don't see it happening at Sky.
So do you guys still think Thomas, Kennaugh, Heano, Nieve or Roche are higher Sky ranking regarding GT? What do you think, DBotero?

Of course they are - at least Thomas, Henao and Nieve are way more important. Yesterday confirmed exactly way - Froome has never been isolated or in trouble like that under their watch. Konig is a more talented GC rider, but a significantly worse domestique.

While I feel fro KOnig and his lost GC placing there is no way he would have been 1st or 2nd....Quintana & Froome are a level above..He is not even the leader in his team

This is why your posts attract such comments ...Your level of bias is unreasonable

Now I don't know if you read the question or what question you've answered, because clearly you haven't answered my question. Haven't you post to the wrong thread?

Firstly pull down 2:38 or 1:44 in 37 kms time trial isn't impossible. Secondly you never know what will happen - see yesterday, right? If one told that you what carnage is gonna happen the day before, you would probably call him biased, too. One falls easily, or can have mechanical (not that I would wish so for Quintana or Froome). Yes, until now Quintana and Froome were better, I'm but König was getting better, on Pena Cabarga only six seconds behind (while he did some work for Froome) and he was arguably on par on Aubisque. You don't know how much better he could eventually get. I'm glad that you see future with such certainity and know what will or won't happen - I don't have such superhuman ability. I only was talking about possibility. You say there is no such possibility? Than you are the one who is unreasonable.

Fair point, I may have answered a different question. Konig is a very good GC rider, but he's clearly not right for Sky (which is no bad thing imo - better to be an individual than a bot). Thomas, Henao and even Landa seem happy to sacrifice or limit their personal ambitions - I guess money talks in that respect.

Hopefully Konig can find a team more suited to his aims; and also one where he won't get ill all the time because they're riding him into the ground.

Another ***-up today:

He said: "I planned to win it, but I made a big mistake. I take full responsibility for that. I didn't think he [Frank] was going to hold it, we've got them all the time at 10, 20 seconds, and I was ready to attack in the final, but Frank did a really strong ride in the end. My mistake and it's cost me a stage win in the Vuelta.

"We were talking about the climb before the stage, with the heat and the heavy gradients, that maybe guys would overdo it in the beginning, but that didn't happen with Frank! It's not been my Vuelta. I just tried to bounce back after the disappointment of stage 15, I didn't want to just give up and the team gave me the opportunity today. I'm really thankful and grateful for that."

It sounds like they are not allowed to think for themselves. With some people that can be a blessing. lol
