Wilco is, once again, da man.

Wait, he beat all those guys?? Not Jakob Steigmiller, that's impossible.

Wilco demolishes the competition once again.

We must find a nickname for him. I suggest Wilco 'Soulcrusher' Kelderman.

Michael Hepburn and Tom Dumoulin are some of the best time trialists in the U23 ranks (the latter mainly on hilly courses though).

yeah but this was a climbing itt, so dumoulin being 3rd is quite weak.

Wrong. The climb wasn't very steep, the TTs Dumoulin won last year (GP Portugal, Giro Bio) were comparable. He's just quite good at this stuff.

Sorry Ryo, even when there aren't any Colombians taking part, a win can still be impressive. Also, this Steigmiller dude was apparently out for most of last season, which is why I (like you it seems) don't know much about him.

this seems to dictate otherwise and also from his results can be sene he's not much of a supertalent either, also the timetrial was won in an average of 34 km/h so yeah a climbing itt

this has nothign to do with colombians. I think he's a supertalent, kelderman

"Für den einstigen Junioren-WM-Zweiten ist sein Auftreten auch Genugtuung für das Vorjahr. Damals zog er sich in der Rundfahrt bei einem Unfall eine schwere Oberschenkelverletzung zu. Der Rest der Saison war ruiniert."

Maybe Bavarianrider or Cobblestoned know something about the guy... I think he could be quite good.

Anyway, what do I care.

Nice win for Charteau. Beating a presumably on form Kiryienka is impressive. I hope he can get a stage win at the tour as well, and maybe go for the polka dots again. I think Europcar is turning into my favorite team.

Does he know it's not autumn yet?

Van Goolen often did well at this time of year as well. He took a third place in a TdS stage in 2004 and a second place in a TdS stage in 2007.

He is raising the expectation level pretty damn high. If he doesn't win one GT minimum next year it'll practically be a failure at this rate.

A new top-talent is on the rise. Soon to be contemplated in races near you. :p

Let's hope Nairo Quintana isn't there again :) (or a good course, maybe with a really long flat time trial)
