Wasn't it Sinkeldam who recently won the U23 Paris-Roubaix?

Yes. But he's no sprinter.Kazistuta said:Wasn't it Sinkeldam who recently won the U23 Paris-Roubaix?
Zinoviev Letter said:Gediminas Bagdonas (An Post Sean Kelly) won the Ronde de L'Oise (2.2). He also won the second stage along the way.
These were his fourth and fifth wins of the last three weeks, after also winning two stages and the overall race in the An Post Ras. He's proving to be a very good rider at this level, winning both sprints and stage races. He wasn't the most heralded of the prospects the An Post Sean Kelly team picked up this year (that would probably be Andy Fenn, who won the Memorial Van Coningsloo last week) but he's really getting some good results for them.
I'd barely heard of the guy before the Ras, but after the way he rode that race he's becoming one of my favourite lesser known riders. He won one stage from a small breakaway, another in a large bunch sprint, and had to ride both hard and smart to protect the yellow jersey for six days in a notoriously chaotic race.
It's also nice to see the An Post Sean Kelly team with a number of guys who are capable of racking up wins, rather than them having to rely on the indefatigable Nico Eeckhout. The team already has almost as many CQ points and more wins than they managed in the whole of last season and are on course for their best ever season by some distance.

Parrulo said:hey libertine could you give me some insight on fabio silvestre? and what kind of rider is ricardo reis? he is still very young so i don't know what kind of rider he is
Libertine Seguros said:Fabio Silvestre is 21, riding for Liberty Seguros-Santamaria da Feira. He can sprint a bit, especially if it's a bit uphill or after a tricky run-in, and he's a reasonable time triallist. At last year's Volta ao Alentejo he was 3rd in a bunch sprint, 3rd in a difficult short uphill finish when Bruno Pires held the field off by 2 seconds, then 4th in an 18km time trial, beaten only by Blanco, Marque and Mendes, and ahead of highly rated allrounder Michal Kwiatkowski.
He was going to step up to the senior team when Liberty Seguros planned their return to the pro ranks in the offseason, then left without a team and returned to the Liberty amateur team (unlike the unfortunate Marco Coelho, who was no longer eligible for u23 teams, and I can't find him on any results sheets in 2011 for the moment. May have to look harder), but his results haven't been as good this year, not sure why.
Looking up results in small Portuguese races has shown me one thing though - Mario Costa has found a ride, for Louletano-Loulé Concelho. This is an elite amateur team which is basically the ashes of last year's CC Loulé-Louletano-Orbitur-Aquashow team. They do have hopes of returning to the professional péloton but it's a bit of a pipe dream really. Still, it's a decent ride since he can do most races in Portugal there, but no Volta.

Affirmative.
Nope, they won the TTT today:Ferminal said:The TTT is tomorrow, last year the AIS smashed it, but it was a stronger team (Matthews, Durbridge & Dennis), so McCarthy could lose the lead - Rabo or Thuringer as favourites?
Kelderman and Goos both are okay, but it obviously cost them the win.theyoungest said:Nope, they won the TTT today:
