Tour de Taiwan update: Astafyev lost his lead on stage 3, which was won by Peter Schulting (Parkhotel Valkenburg CT), with Ben O'Connor (Avanti IsoWhey Sport) narrowly taking the lead. On stage 4, prologue winner William Clarke (Drapac) won a bunch sprint. On the decisive stage 5, Robbie Hucker (Avanti) won the stage and the overall - Mancebo came 2nd, O'Connor 3rd, Schulting 4th, Amir Kolahdozhagh (Pishgaman Giant Team) 5th.

Seems weird to have the first Iranian guy be only 5th.

Well, Iran started to dismantle parts of their nuclear program early this year.

Luca Wackermann (Al Nasr Pro Cycling Team–Dubai) continues his dominance of Algerian stage races with the GC of the Tour de Blida and the following stage results:

Stage 1: 1st
Stage 2: 3rd
Stage 3: 1st

Adil Barbari, also of Al Nasr, won stage 2.

Two one-day races. In the Dorpenomloop Rucphen, Aidis Kruopis (Verandas Willems) was victorious while Paris-Troyes was won by Rudy Barbier (Roubaix–Lille Métropole).

In stage races, Olivier Pardini (Wallonie-Bruxelles) wins the Istrian Spring Trophy. Stage 1 had been taken by last year's winner, Markus Eibegger (Felbermayr–Simplon Wels), Stage 2 by Martijn Tusveld (Rabobank Development Team) and Stage 3 by Matej Mugerli (Synergy Baku Cycling Project).

GP Liberty Seguros, August Jensen (Team Coop-Øster Hus) took Stage 1 and the GC, while Will Routley of Rally Cycling took the second stage.

It really was bad luck this time, Groenewegen and a teammate punctured in the last 10k. But Baska was stronger anyway, good prospect.

It really was bad luck this time, Groenewegen and a teammate punctured in the last 10k. But Baska was stronger anyway, good prospect.

They did well to get him back to the front, but they really did screw up the finale again. Groenewegen ended up opening up his sprint way too early.

Great win for Baska, by the way.

He road for AC's development team last year, however now rides for Klein Constantia (The EQS continental team)

Gazprom wins TTT and Firsanov took stage 2, okay it's not the greatest field, but maybe they can do something in the Giro.

I do believe they can do the same things that Androni did - breakaways with a possible stage win. Ovechkin and Firsanoc seem quite strong.

Nice result from Moscon, seems to have really stepped up to the required level as a neo-pro, still trying to work out where his real strengths lay, good in cobbles races but I think he could also be good in hilly races, could probably do with his own thread

He is very versatile, he even showed he could do well in the higher mountains in the first mountain stage in avenir, though I dont think that will be his main strength in the pro ranks. Besides that and what you already mentioned he is pretty fast at the line (not to win bunch sprints but he can win sprints from a 30 man group), and he can time trial pretty well (at least the short ITTs, dont think I ever saw him in a longer one).
For a type of rider I think you could compare him a bit to Kwiatkowski.

EDIT: I wasnt expecting him to do well so early between the pro's in the last years we have often seen that the Italians need some time to adjust to the pro levels (even when they were already scoring as interns) so he is really impressive.
