2nd stage in Qinhai Lake won by Serbian sprinter Dušan Rajovic who is only 19 years old. He seems like yet another great Balkan talent.

Yes! Bravo Dusane!

Dylan Teuns won stage three of Tour de Wallonie.
He won by 9 seconds, and since he was already in yellow, he - obviously - extended his lead and now leads with 32 seconds over Van Der Sande.

Well, the problem is that at least in Denmark - and probably other places as well - it wasn't even shown on television until yesterday.
Bit hard to follow a race with no coverage. Like it or not, the Tour is bigger than any other race, and is obviously gonna get the majority of attention.
If you want a thread, make a thread. It's very easy, even I can do it.

If I didnt know better the Vuelta just began with a flat stage. Drucker won ahead of Blythe and the legendary Van Genechten.

Absolutely awesome stuff from Dylans Teuns tho, reminded me of Purito and the Don doing their things.

Teuns was barely breathing while everybody else was literally bobbing and stamping as hard as they could before he attacked, brutal

He seems like a big fish in the little pond in this race. Can't say he's bothered with quality opponents.

Not that I mind, he's on my CQ team.

Over in Spain, the regular scheduled Lokosphinx race where Sergey Shilov does some parcours-padding was scheduled, at the Prueba Villafranca de Ordizia, a hilly one-day race in the Basque Country.

Shilov won the sprint of the decisive group of 15, with Benjami Prades, the former biathlete taking a break from his usual Asia Tour calendar, in 2nd (his brother Eduard, who rides for Caja Rural, was also racing, but missed the selection) and Shilov's teammate Strakhov pipping José Herrada for 3rd. Lokosphinx also had Aleksandr Vdovin in the group to mark the only team with 3 riders to make the junction; Movistar had had three, but Pedrero fell back, looks like either a mechanical or a crash caused it but can't confirm. Orica also had two riders in the group, with Robert Power scoring his best result to date as a pro in Europe with 5th place, and Adam Yates also in the group. Jetse Bol was Manzana's one rider to make the selection in 6th, while Caja Rural, whose selection comprised almost solely their least experienced riders, were represented in the group by Alex Aranburu and Jonathan Lastra. Euskadi-Murias will be disappointed at a lack of presence in a home race, with only Mikel Iturria being alert to the split and swamped in the sprint, while Burgos-BH had Igor Merino (brother of Eider) and Pablo Torres, and for Delko we had Ángel Madrazo in the group as well.

Apparently he'll ride the Vuelta with Caja Rural, atm he's training at altitude in Livigno.

I withdraw my previous statement about the Vuelta not looking exciting.

Teuns starting to produce wins out of his potential, that's nice to see. He was already third in FW this year, so he definitely has the quality for the bigger races as well. Perhaps the Giro helped him to get even stronger; I wouldn't be surprised if was is a key figure in next years spring classics (and for the upcoming fall races obviously).
Also nice to see Gougeard back in his usual always attacking style. His campaign has been pretty underwhelming so far (lots of DNF's). After his Vuelta stage win two years ago one could have expected that he was going to be one of the future stars of the spring classics, but apparently he needs a bit more time. (Or does anyone here know if he had some kind of health issues/suffered over training etc. ?)

Tuens just destroyed them uphill again

He's getting to be too big a fish in a small pond in these races.

The French Thomas is showing a lot of potential in these types of races :)

Yonathan Monsalve won the Tour of Qinghai Lake, 20 seconds ahead of Mauricio Ortega.
Kinda weird to see him riding on a Chinese team, he was always one of the biggest talents from Venezuela and he was able to perform well in Europe. Kinda strange that Wilier/Southeast didn't resign him, but they did the same with Finetto, they rather resign a 2nd rate rider who brings his own sponsors...
It's also strange that another PCT team didn't pick him up, he's a great rider.

Ouch, yeah, a WT race with no thread. The hills are being selective already with 90km to go.
