I mean at the end the peloton caught the group but still you have to wonder what they were thinking. Teams like Orica had whole leadout trains but instead of sending one or two riders to the front of the peloton they rather took the huge risk giving the win to the break.

Also, Kristoff is an absolute monster in WT races which don't deserve that status. :D

Orica had Impey in the break.

This is too funny how they can't get two guys for ages.

Having watched it I think they just hung them out to dry, they didn't want to bring them back and encourage other attacks, this race would be better if it finished nearer Dorking

On the Womens race, same prize money as men, which is good, guess you have the sportive and mens road closures on the Sunday, you wouldn't be able to get those closures on Saturday

So why can't the women at least do a decent length circuit race? Or race on Sunday too? Or alternate it so one year the men do the crit and the women the proper course? Sure, the women are less of a draw but the Women's Tour seems no less well-attended than the men's Tour of Britain, and I seem to recall the British women did rather better than the British men in that Olympic road race...

I mean, at least now both are World Tour, but last year, the men's race wasn't and the women's was, and frankly it's quite ridiculous to have a 66km crit as a World Tour event.

Vuelta a Burgos is very much stacked with climbing potential. Stage 3 to Picón Blanco will be interesting!

Celano FTW!
Or Landa, Superman Lopez, Marc Soler, Ruben Fernandez, Sepulveda, De la Cruz, Alaphilppe, Enric Mas, Carapaz, Fraile, Roson, Tao G... also the young Colombians from Postoban. Really young and interesting prospects taking part in this race.

I am not saying they shouldn't have a better Women's race, I do think there are some difficult logistics to overcome though and they are not going to make the mens race a crit. Perhaps they could start it after the mens race as it doesnt get dark till nearly 9, so they could hit the circuit shortly after the men leave it, though that leaves the roads closed for even longer. Some of the late finishers in the sportive had to be stopped while the mens race finished. Or perhaps it should be on a different weekend entirely.

Breizh is the Breton/Celtic name for Brittany. It's not a German word. ;)

Kreiz Breizh is a kind of group of towns that gathered together, in central Brittany.

It crossed my mind too but Generic is not that kind of poster and I think it's normal for a young Fleming not to know that Breizh is Brittany. I only do because I've had several Breton friends.

Anyway, if it's supposed to be common knowledge for you that Breizh is Brittany, then well I just wished to share in my post that the race really is the heartland, dead central in the region, and as you may now fairly hilly. ;)

That's a great race in Central Brittany. :) Love the name.

Kevin Pauwels won two stages back in 2011. :)

Really it's in Brittany? From the name I would've guessed it was somewhere in La Lorraine or L'Alsace.

Are you being sarcastic? (no offence intended if you're not)

No I wasn't forgive me for not being very acquainted with French geography.
