Veyhe is Faroese? Guess I should've figured it out with that name...
He's still sorta Danish, though.

Jempy Drucker just won the second stage in the tour of his home country. I'm more excited however about the 2nd place of Thimothy Dupont, seems like he's finally back to his old level.

GvA picks up a stage win at the Lux tour. Now trailing Drucker by a few secs on GC. Man I love the idea of being competitive on a broad basis.

GP Beiras e Serra da Estrela going on in Portugal. The first stage may set the battleground, with a four man break making it to the line over 3 minutes ahead of the bunch, with Lokosphinx's Aleksandr Evtushenko getting a few seconds' advantage in Celorico da Beira yesterday over breakmates Jesús del Pino, Ricardo Mestre and Beñat Txoperena. With Mestre riding for W52 who have both Antunes and Balarcón in the team, he's probably the overall favourite as a result, because there were no changes in today's rolling stage to Trancoso, with the bunch coming in together a few seconds behind solo victor Omar Mendoza, the Colombian bringing home what I think is Equipo Bolivia's first win.

The final stage tomorrow finishes in Manteigas after a descent from the Seia side of the Alto da Torre, so will be the big mountain showdown. Mestre is the favourite for the GC, and with their firepower it's hard to look past W52 taking the crown somehow.

Alarcon of course won the Torre stage and destroyed everyone. Wonder if he can produce Pantani watts in July or will be hired by Elon Musk as the solution to travel to Mars.

1º Raúl Alarcón (Esp) W52-FC Porto 4:46:00 [34,196 km/h]
2º João Benta (Por) RP-Boavista +1:24s
3º Dmitrii Strakhov (Rus) Lokosphinx +1:24s
4º Sergio Pardilla (Esp) Caja Rural-Seguros RGA +1:24s
5º Amaro Antunes (Por) W52-FC Porto +1:24s
6º Frederico Figueiredo (Por) Sporting-Tavira +1m28s
7º Jesús del Pino (Esp) Efapel +1m29s
8º Henrique Casimiro (Por) Efapel +1m45s
9º David da la Fuente (Esp) Louletano-Hospital de Loulé +2m34s
10º Rui Vinhas (Por) W52-FC Porto +2:34s

W52 managed to put three riders into the top ten, but Mestre was the weakest of the four breakaway riders from stage 1 and dropped to fifth in GC. So Jésus del Pino managed to win overall. Big fail by such a strong team, if you ask me.

1º Jesús del Pino (Esp) Efapel 15:11:03
2º Alexander Evtushenko (Rus) Lokosphinx +58s
3º Beñat Txoperena (Esp) Euskadi-Murias +1:11s
4º Raúl Alarcón (Esp) W52-FC Porto +2:00s
5º Ricardo Mestre (Por) W52-FC Porto +2:15s
6º João Benta (Por) RP-Boavista +3:28s
7º Dmitrii Strakhov (Rus) Lokosphinx +3:30s
8º Amaro Antunes (Por) W52-FC Porto +3:34s
9º Sergio Pardilla (Esp) Caja Rural-Seguros RGA +3:34s
10º Frederico Figueiredo (Por) Sporting-Tavira +3:38s

Great race on the Elfstedenronde! Van Aert beats Van der Poel at a group sprint.

Great race for both of them and also for Keukeleire. Keukeleire and Van der Poel were very active in the last km's, closing very moves and assuring that the group stayed together for the sprint.

Edwin Avila with a huge solo in Sibiu it seems. Doing very well this year.

An outstanding ride. I love his answer afterwards about whether he will be able to hold onto the leaders jersey in the mountains: "I am mostly a fast guy, but I'm not a Colombian for nothing".

2nd stage in Qinhai Lake won by Serbian sprinter Dušan Rajovic who is only 19 years old. He seems like yet another great Balkan talent.
