It would be fascinating to see this on TV especially as a world tour one day race maybe this will evolve in status in the future. Looking at the field this year it looks a straight shootout between Dombrowski coming off a strong Giro and Bardet looking to build towards the Tour.

It looks like it is going to be on tv - at least

have it lined up.

Weak field for Mont Ventoux Dénivelé Challenge (1.1).

Best chance this year for El Puma to finally strike.

Really good production value for a new/small race like that, impressive work. The camera angles look even more "action" oriented than in big races to me somehow.

Herrada in excellent form for some time already.
Bardet good after the Dauphine, but lacked some freshness.
Taramae solid.

Good for watching... better than with all spectators in the Tour.

Lack of freshness, a bit of sickness, a very good Herrada, and Bardet desperately continues with his non-winning ways.

Hoping there's a replay somewhere tonight.

You do sort of wonder why there aren't more MTF one-day races but I guess the GTs suck up all the oxygen for the climbers. The Galibier would be perfect for this if you started down in the Maurienne but then again, what makes the GT MTF's so compelling is how they fit in the larger context of the race. Whereas as a one-off, it's just a drag race, and a slow motion one at that.

Chapeau Herrada - King of Luxembourg becomes King of Ventoux - seemed to have no problems following Bardet who looked like a man cycling through syrup at times. (the voodoo has caught up with Bardet! :))

Jumbo clear the podium on the prologue of the ZLM Tour. Van Emden wins in front of Teunissen and Martin.

And the top ten is basically:
The three Jumbo guys.
Three from Katusha (Dowsett, Würtz Schmidt, and Biermans).
Three from Sunweb (Walscheid, Bol, and Kragh Andersen).
And with De Buyst thrown into the mix to make it ten.

Those four teams occupy all spots in top 15 and 20 spots among the first 24. Only 8 of the WorldTour riders don't make the top 24. Quite remarkable.

Those Jumbo guys are pretty good down in the lowlands.
Groenewegen just won stage 2 - and gave himself a nice birthday present - after he also won stage 1 yesterday.

And Vanbilsen won Hageland.

Hod(g)e(g)* won Heiste Pijl.

And in ZLM Jumbo decided to mix things up a little, and have Jansen win.
