'Cédric Pineau (ex-AG2R) knows again how to win races brings in 52nd París-Troyes'
images

The 24-year-old Frenchman was downgraded from AG2R Pro Tour team to the moderate continental-Roubaix Dalkia team. This hasn't done him any harm, Pineau last year once finished in the top five and did so three times already this year. Now Pineau also transformed the French Paris-Troyes UCI 1.2 rate in his favour.
In a sprint with 2 beating his fellow runaway Jean-Marc Bideau. The 2 broke away from a leading group of four riders, which also contained Cyril Bessy (Saur-Sojasun) and Christophe Laurent (VC Vaulx Vulco). Bessy could just hang on to 3rd, but Laurent has been overtaken in the final 1k by the pursuing groupe.

Result French Top 6:
1 Cédric Pineau (Roubaix-Dalkia)
2 Jean-Marc Bideau (Bretagne Schuller)
3 Cyril Bessy (Saur Sojasun)
4 Nadir Haddou (BigMat-Auber 93)
5 Renaud Dion (Roubaix Lille Métropole)
6 Mathieu Simon (CC Nogent-sur-Oise)

It's a shame Cofidis isn't going to all of the higher-profile cobbled classics this year, I'd like to see if Keukeleire could get in the mix in Gent-Wevelgem.

Mind you there's still a big difference between Driedaagse West Vlaanderen / Nokere Koerse and Gent-Wevelgem.

Certainly for a 21-year old.
