Total with 5 sticky bottles in 5 minutes time for Burgaudeau and in the process dropping the UNO-X guy because of it. Blatant cheating if you ask me.

This is the moment Holter gets dropped btw.
The jury has noticed and has acted rather harshly on this incident. Burgeaudeau and DS Genauzeau have been fined. How will they ever recover from this?

Ganna was on the verge of getting disqualified for irregular position (LOL, telling grown men who have been riding a bike for 20 years how they should or should not hold their handle bars), but downright cheating is fine to some extend. Sometimes this sport is pathetic.

Yeah straight up ridiculous. Only one punishment possible here DQ for rider and DS. Why would you not risk this if this is the punishment?

It's a great shame that this year's route is so boring compared to the previous few.

I don't understand why tho? They go from a finish on the Col d'Eze, and going over an actual mountain in another stage to this? Why? A GC that might have already been decided in the "sprint" stage because of the technical final? We'll see ofcourse, Vauqueling could crack but I doubt it, doesn't seem hard at all.

Definitely cause last years edition was a spectacle with Wellens beating Quintana on Col d'Eze and Quintana having to go really early in the 3rd stage.

Alexandre jr and Nicolas Vinokourow, sons of Alexandre Vinokourow (Olympic Champion) rode and finished Haut Var this afternoon.

They however seem to be a bit slower than the best European espoirs. Maybe compareable to Stefano Museeuw, who is not (yet) the level of his father…
