Alexandre jr and Nicolas Vinokourow, sons of Alexandre Vinokourow (Olympic Champion) rode and finished Haut Var this afternoon.

They however seem to be a bit slower than the best European espoirs. Maybe compareable to Stefano Museeuw, who is not (yet) the level of his father…
They are awful, always have been. As juniors, as U23s, and as pros, which they inevitably will be all thanks to daddy. Pure nepotism babies. They have access to expensive bikes, trainers, food coaches, training camps but would hardly impress in an amateur field.

Savelii Laptev, now that's an interesting Kazach prospect. He will for always be the only junior in history to beat Antonio Morgado on his own soil.

45 km/u avarage wind is crazy tbh. But last 40km are headwind I think. So could still come together and then there is a big possibility it will be some sort of uphill sprint.

Well if it's actually over a minute difference... That's huge in no time.
