It was live in previous years, shame to see it isn't anymore as it's usually a good race.
The race clashes with the European Championships this time, which are live on Rai Sport instead. So I guess there is a chance to see it back on the live schedule next year.

Did PCS make a mistake adding Bingoal to Toscana?
9 PM the evening before a race seems a bit late to not have published your lineup...

As long as they've told their riders, so they don't show up/fail to show by mistake.

Could be fun if they just rolled up to the start tomorrow like "Yo!"
However, the UCI - being boring - probably doesn't allowed it.

Anyway, pretty sure the race is too lumpy for Salby.

Similar situation with TDT and Work Service.

Or perhaps they'll try to substitute riders during the race without the pesky commisaires noticing.

If you're not waiting for the TV - 26 km out attack pays off at Giro della Toscana as Champoussin nabs the win from Storer. UAE's Ulissi missed out coming in 8th, 2 places behind Pozzovivo! Yeah, baby!

Lots of laps and ups and downs and an uphill finish -

From https://www.oasport.it/2024/09/copp...n-tracciato-scoppiettante-e-con-tante-salite/
The start will start from the Peccioli stadium and then there will be a very hard stretch of 37 kilometers with the climbs of Legoli, Montefoscoli, Terricciola. There will then be a new return to Peccioli, with a passage on the Muro di Greta and return to Piazza del Carmine.
From that moment on, a double circuit begins: the first of 24.4 kilometers to be repeated five times and where there will again be the climbs of Montefoscoli, Terricciola and the Muro di Greta. The second circuit, to be covered twice, will have only one real climb, but the very hard one towards the finish line in Via Mazzini in Peccioli.

Bit of an odd race today. Christen crashed out at the foot of the final climb, so UAE was left with one bullet only, and Ulissi somehow ended up working in a chase group for like 90% of the final 30k.

Pozzovivo was setting the pace in front, but unable to follow the acceleration when Champoussin and Storer attacked, never to be seen again. Brenner etc. then left Ulissi behind again in the end.

This race deserves a better field. Hirschi not even breating and putting 15+ seconds into anyone on a 800m climb. Seems impossible to solo this from here on out tho.

Marc best be able to hold this form for the WCs and not be doing his usual weird superpeak for some midweek Italian races, beating all-comers, will take all of them to bring him back.

He has been incredible all post-Olympics but it's a long time to hold it.

Hirschi is good, by far the best in this race, but given there's a cross headwind here and that there is still a big group behind him this seems like a suicide effort.

A whole ass peloton is like 25 seconds behind him, he should've went slower on the hill and tried to get a few riders with him.

EDIT: alright I might be underestimating him or overestimating the willingness to work together in the group behind.

I'm happy he's trying a different strategy for once. We'd be almost sure of his win with a more conservative approach.
