Good positioning very important here. Koln is always super dependent on positioning cause of that corner in the last 350m. But He was also really strong, even tho Girmay seems to let himself get surprised. Apart from Girmay everyone who seemed somewhat fast was already too far back in the corner.

Also, I repeat Matthew Brennan is insanely talented. Kid rode up front for 40ish km and still sprinted to 6th. 19 years old...

Chapeau Van Uden & DSM - impressive sprint, Girmay second - maybe boxed in. Brennan after an attempt at a breakaway, sprints for 6th. Not bad for an 18 year old (19 in August)

Norsgaard, Retailleau, and Sorrarain had a small gap.
Norsgaard got dropped.
A rider - UAE? - bridge from the peloton.
Caught Norsgaard, and then took them both down in a crash.
Picture disappeared.
Retailleau won.

Widar wins Alpes Isère Tour. Parra wins last stage (mountain stage).

Widar was a bit meeh a t the beginning of the season (due to sickness), but it seems like he's getting into form finally. Won't be long before he's pro.

Also, I guess "crashing when you're just ahead of the peloton, but then get overtaken while you're on the ground" got interpreted as being in the peloton.

This is always a great race, worth watching, but even more so this year because La colmiane + col de la cuillole is the finish of stage 20 of the tour de France in july

Yep, this is stage 20 of this year's Tour in comparison -

Last year's Mercan'Tour Classic had Carapaz, Gall & the two Lennys battling it out.

Today is longer, but that stagee is even harder. Lenny is at home an is for me the main favoutite. IPT has maybe the stronger team we will see who is the leader, ,and how is people becouse this year they compite very little. G. Martin, Gaudu, Formolo, Sosa, Sapulveda, C Rodriguez..are other important names to follow.

From my country as well Garcia Pierna, and the team of my land, Burgos BH which names as Mario aparicio or Jose Manuel Diaz can do it very well.
For froome there is no excuses here, a good race for him, close to home, good weather.... The only problem he has not compete from his injury at Tirreno, long time ago...and with Williams and Bennet maybe he has to work, but I hope in that cas, just at the end. if he is not to be top 20 here, he has difficult to be at le Tour. I dont say anythoing about my feelings, just hope good luck. It would be great to see him at a good level.
