Sarreau, how good is he?

He surprised me here with getting twice in the top 5 of 2.1 race. He's a decent sprinter in the french amateur scene (five wins last year, five wins this year so far), but not as outstanding as Démare or Coquard have been in the last years. But yeah, he's really making a lot out of his time as a stagiaire.

Thanks, just refreshing to see a stagiaire get results right away, and with not so bad top 5 company either.

Go Bardet!

You're overreacting a bit. It's not even Raymond's first win this season, and Michel had some respectable WT results earlier in his career top10 overall in Catalunya and Vattenfall for example, also 2nd in Gran Premio Miguel Indurain in 2010 against strong opposition.
Michel also has about 5 pro wins.

He's not quite the next Dutch winner of Amstel Gold (as Vaughters once dubbed him) but he's an okay rider.

Go and sign this guy RaboBelkin, like you should have done last year.

1. NED LINDEMAN Bert-Jan RDT
2. FRA BARDET Romain ALM 57"
3. IRL MARTIN Daniel GRS 02'24"
4. FRA PERAUD Jean-Christophe ALM 02'24"
5. FRA DI GREGORIO Rémy LPM 02'24"
6. FRA LATOUR Pierre-Roger - 03'23"
7. FRA BOUET Maxime ALM 03'23"
8. FRA TARRIDE Grégoire LPM 03'23"
9. FRA BAGOT Yoann COF 03'23"
10. FRA ALAPHILIPPE Julian OPQ 03'23"

Did Bardet destroy the other contenders or did he get destroyed by Lindeman?

Never understood why Belkin didn't sign him.

Lindeman was in the break of the day, with Simon and El Fares. It was still a very strong ride from Lindeman though, but Bardet was very good as well.

He wasn't that special while on Vacansoleil, TBH. Just one epic performance in the Dutch nationals.

But it turns out he had never worked according to a proper training schedule until this year... Rabo U23 is more professional than Vacansoleil, apparently.

Oh nice win for Lindeman!

I know a guy who know's Lindeman pretty well, said he's a really hard worker and trains super much, but apparently without a proper training schedule. :p

He is quite a disappointment recently, though. A man, who finished 2nd in Gran Premio Miguel Indurrain and 7th in Catalunya in his first pro year at the age of 23, and who finished 5th overall in l'Avenir a year earlier, is expected to be a factor in WT races later in the career, but it didn't happen. It's a shame, he was very versatile rider, capable of both climbing and sprinting at a reasonable level.

About Tour de l'Ain. OMG, Cardoso better has a good day tomorrow, otherwise he is going to finish outside top50 in any cycling race first time since April 2012.

Yeah, the last stage is not that difficult. Ag2rs should be kicking themselves

not sure, Lindeman was very strong.

Last stage:

tda-2014-profil-etape-4-web.jpg

Plenty of opportunities for Brown Power, also from a distance. Especially considering the 6 man teams here.

Rabo dev team (whats left of it):
91.HOFSTEDE Lennard
92.LINDEMAN Bert-Jan
93.OOMEN Sam
94.ROOSEN Timo
95.BECKERINGH Derk Abel

Lindeman can be isolated very quickly if the parcours are raced hard.

They let the gap get out to 7 minutes I think. And it was 5 or so when Menthieres started.

Of course Lindeman is no Pantani, but Menthieres is no Alpe d'Huez, and with guys in 2nd, 4th and 7th on the stage they had the firepower to win even even with a 6 rider team

Nice for Lindeman :)

Also, super climbing talent Lachlan Morton managed to finish his second race this year the first being the Herald Sun Tour

What's up with that guy? Not making it in Europe after some good climbing in the US last year, sure, but he can hardly even finish races this year.

Morton is coming into "form" for the Colorado event, the only race where he can perform, lol.

Some brilliant racing over the last two stages in France. Alaphilippe winning in good style and getting a higher placement in GC:
