Who is the DSM rider in the group off the front?
Especially if others made it hard earlier It's not easy to overcome the coordination problems there, as you don't want to coordinate globally (with all participants). There are teams trying to attack now, but they’d be more likely to get away if they’d made it harder earlier.
And that is quite reasonable. Most of the favourites and most of the strongest teams will not really improve their chances with another tactic (in this given racing equilibrium).
No matter how slow they go here, the race is still plenty hard and selective enough in the end for them.
That's why you should go for strats that aren't overly dependent on coordination with other teams. Splitting the peloton in the right places will only improve your leverage. It should be relatively low risk if everyone has to put in the same amount of work, if you catch them by surprise it's almost an immediate win to split the peloton.Especially if others made it hard earlier It's not easy to overcome the coordination problems there, as you don't want to coordinate globally (with all participants).
Belgian commentator metioned Tadej back in peloton a while agoIs Pogacar back in the peloton?

Dont really think it is an option if you gotta go, you gotta go.
Based on that Tirreno stage, that seems like something Van der Poel would do.An alternative could - of course - be attacking because "Gotta go! Gotta go! Gotta go!"

Interview to be conducted in Dumoulin's camper.Imagine the post-race interview:
"I just really needed to piss!"
