I don't want DR to go away. I want him to pay the $10,000 he offered to the first person who could prove that you could gain weight by eating 30 bananas a day which he claims is impossible.

Armed with my trusty calculator and a k/cal chart I proceeded to show that it was very possible to gain weight. It really is just simple math. If calories going exceed energy expended you gain weight.:D

Please Aussies help get my money.

I was counting on craig1985 god bless his soul may he rest in peace.

Chris Horner is an unusual speciman for pro. I remember one year after a particularly hard and cold Paris-Nice stage he went into the local McDonald's after the stage and destroyed a massive quarter pounder meal and a few sides!

If I did that after a race I'd be struggling not to vomit  It's amazing that his DS's have let him get away with things like that and having stuff like Mars Bars on the road

Cyclingnews reported that Cav has lost 4kg by cutting out sugars from candy bars, soft drinks (pop), etc. I wouldn't have thought that many of these items would have been on a pros dietary list either.

In Cav's book 'boy racer' he says he lost the weight by cutting out meat, dairy etc. Can anyone quote the exact page?

Looks like Horner has dropped the fast food..whats the best he only eats junk if he gets a big win? That would explain a lot.

Cav lost the weight recently in preparation for the Worlds primarily because of its hilly parcourse, and to a lesser extent in defense of his green jersey at the TdF. This weight loss was recent and after he published "Boy Racer".

Horner's photos are misleading and you know it. He is belly breathing in the bottom photo. The bottom photo is also from last year's ToC, isn't it? The same ToC that he won? Not bad for a pudgy, junk food addict! :D

Isn't Bruyneel pretty stringent when it comes to rider diet? Horner is looking leaner and meaner the last 18 months but he did still win some big races carrying around that extra lard.

I guess he would be one of those freaks you meet occasionally who can eat whatever they want and still be rake thin with low cholesterol even if he wasn't a pro cyclist.

# Horner in a recent interview said the first thing in his mind after the TOC was 'how can I keep my weight down long enough for the TDF???'. So doesnt sound like he is one of those 'freaks that can eat anything'. I mean where are those people after 21? ;)

# Correct Horner is belly breathing hence the 'gut'.

# As requested.

Can't believe he claims he "never trains"...

WTF is that 500 hours a day on the bike stuff. Most of us have real jobs and can't sleep 16 hours a day

I only train enough to be able hold 5.3 watts for 20mins. I don't race much so have no need to bang out big miles. I've never had a drivers license so commuting keeps at least 100k in the legs weekly.

Point is I train less than most but keep 'TDF lean' all year long whilst stuffing my face on plant foods. Try it sometime. ;)

If you want to ride all day do it.
If you want to make up excuses why you can't do what you want then do that too. Just be honest with yourself at the end of the day.

Here is an interesting vid..

What are the questions? Put them in a mature format & I will get to them.

Feel free to put a face and name to the question so I don't feel like Im talking to trolls just trying to stir up trouble.

Well then, you said ...

I put up photos of Freelee and myself cos everyone says 'carbs make you fat!! stay away from fruit, rice, potatoes cos they are fattening! vegan diet turns you into an obese person!! eat fried chicken aka the paleo diet to get slim!' lol!

Dude, I don't know who the everyone you are referring to is? Sounds like you have some form of persecution complex about being a Vegan. What's up with that?

If you don't bang out big miles, then why your signature with all those big miles for a "training ride", etc?

Actualy, I have it figured out: DR doesn't ride miles at all, he only rides kilometers...

So, yeah, that doesn't count...
