Yes, there is an unofficial classification.

Wouldn't mind a serious early break.
Bling Matthews.Waterloo Sunrise said:After today, and given the number of Sky riders taking the climbs well, it's very hard to look past Swift.

I doubt Matthews was dropped on that hill yesterday. Even Theo Bos wasn't.Waterloo Sunrise said:Nowhere in the flat sprint, 2 minutes back yesterday with a small hill near the end, and we have yet to find out how he fared today, but clearly was not in the first chase group.
At the moment it looks like Sky will be in a position to push hard and Swift cope better than the other sprinters, but tomorrow is another day.

Matthews can climb. Probably not as good as Swift did today, but that isn't necessary.

There will likely be other "sprinters" coming in with the main group. Depends on how hard the first two KOM's are raced imo. Looks open.

He has somewhat similar results as JTL had in 2011, so why not? Although he's better in the hills and sprinting than pure climbing.
Bibby the Billy Specialist. I like it.Ryo Hazuki said:tiernan locke imo is just like bibby a real billy specialist and I think bibby is even more suitable to steep climbs. he is very light unlike tiernan locke, but I don;t think he has the engine of tiernan locke
Swift is a bit too young to break through already, I thought British riders were supposed to be mediocre until 27-28 before suddenly starting to climb like a rockettheyoungest said:Sky will just have to decide who will win the Tour first: Geraint Thomas or Ben Swift?

Dekker_Tifosi said:Howard can do more than sprinting. I remember seeing him when he was riding the U23 six days of rotterdam years ago, and he was a one man team. A total machine obliterating the rest of the field (including 2 of the kreders). He has a big engine too
