And in the process of dropping the 1 man who would stop other sprinter teams from pulling stuff back after the Poggio, they now made every other sprinter team committed to keeping it together.

You're not watching whats on the screen...there is no way all the other sprinters and their full squads are in that smallish front group...and even more helpers will get shelled on cipressa and poggio. A sprinter may win this, but it's not going to be a tour type field sprint
