Only disappointment is the lack of Amstel (and Liège). But I think it's like last year where those plans were only made later, so I still think he goes.

Kinda stupid question but what's the right way to pronounce his name? Is it like Scandinavian "Yo/Yu" or the English/American way with Jo (like Jordan)?

My take is, as he's american with american parents (?) it should be the american way?

I think Y like in (New) York. But didn't all Movistar riders pronounce their own name at some point?

I honestly don't know. I've heard commentators from different countries go with Jorgenson and Yorgenson. But then if its Yo.. it should be more like YorgenSHon (assuming .a swedish pronunciation).

He has Danish ancestry, but the family changed the spelling of the surname at some point.

I think an American can getaway with spending is life telling fellow Americans to pronounce his name "Yorgenson" but he can't possibly hope to survive telling us to pronounce the ending as -shon instead of -son.

The problem with those types of videos is that some riders pronounce their name like they will expect the norm to be able to. For example, Norsgaard said it completely wrongly, the same can be seen with Erling Haaland. So that kind of nullifies the point with such videos and puts all pronunciations into question.

Jorgenson has stated in a number of interviews that he has always pronounced his family name with a hard J, so the American way.

After spending time with Danish riders he now realises the correct pronunciation would be with a soft J but whatever.

Well, the spelling is mangled into nonsense anyway, so I don't think there is a correct pronunciation.

On a sidenote, another American with a Scandinavian name, Magnus Sheffield (who is half Norwegian and speaks the language) pronounces his first name like a Norwegian would ("mang-nus").
