Bikinigirl was banned for trolling. She was warned about a post that had a report filed on it last week complaining about trolling, and again today a report was filed complaining about trolling. With that being said, she got banned for a week. Does that clear things up for you foxxy?

It is not the opinion that is being punished, but the way it is said. Obviously, as BigMac points out, this (and every forum) thrives on a a variety of opinions and a healthy discussion.

There won't be any variety of opinion and healthy discussions if you guys keep banning people for nothing.

People will just take their opinions elsewhere and the forum will die out or get infested by bots. Is that what you guys want?

Enforcing the rules in the forum to create a more civil environment might also encourage more lurkers to voice their opinion and create more dialogue. I don't see anything wrong with how the mods have handled the last few weeks.

Personally I think the mods have been very lenient in some circumstances. I can't see anything that's happened that people can really complain about.

Remember that the mods are always right, even when they're wrong.

If they don't want sniper posting it means we don't want him posting. So while I wait for sniper to come back I am going to read more posts by my new favourite poster tommy79.

God knows I've had my fair share of battles with sniper. But he's never struck me as someone who comes here to break rules. In fact so many times I've seen people including myself make posts in which we pretty much insult him and he takes it on the chin and says something like "good post but I disagree because...."

The problem seems to be that even in the clinic its considered not kosher to be too cynical, while it is ok to be too big a believer. Sniper takes cynicsm to a further level than most. But I don't see what the harm is there. Ultimately he is always willing to have a debate, something the ultra believers will never do.
