The problem seems to be that even in the clinic its considered not kosher to be too cynical,

LOL the clinic appears to be 95+% cynics ..........less than 5% believers

problem comes when cynics fall short on argument.........and start calling out the member

Not quite - my opinion varies from what you have posted there.

I dont know wht exatly I was banned. what message, I mean...I just want to say I am sorry if I did something wrong. I try to give my best to the forum and to follow the rules, but you sometimes dont realized you are acting the same that people you read...

If as I read here, 10 peoble were banned... maybe I can understand mine.

I was lot of time out of the clinic, becouse they banned me before there, but when you read some people saying; come on,is there something think Froome is clean.., or things like that... , I consider that a provocation. Maybe moderators after that do comething, but in that moment I feel angry, it is offensive for riders.

Didnt you know riders are fair game, as users are too, being personally insulted in threads and PMs? Yet the most hefty insulters go scott free time and time again?
Much more "offenses" ;) like "trolling" otoh need to be taken care of....

;)

No, its not happening.

@ mods; I hope this true post doesnt get me banned. And if so, please do it on Tuesday... But it had to be said.

Just because you think there is something wrong with a post does not mean the mods do. If you check the suspensions thread it is very clear that things are being dealt with.

I accept that.
But if users break forum rules again and again, written by Mr Benson himself (at least that is the impression I get), and then can go on like nothing happened, it´s no more about "you" but about the integrity of the rules being applied...

And that is the reason, solely the reason, why I proposed a point-system for more accuracy and objectivity.

This is no hit-out against the mods who do good work, especially when I consider they do it for free, but a well-intended advice.

None of us know how the system really works, I'm guessing people get warned at times and not just suspended outright. It's up to the mods to deal with it, maybe they don't think the poster is breaking the rules. If a post bothers you report it and ignore it.

OK, how about that? Directly personally being called in one PM "idiot, idiot racist, moronic, butt hurt, simpleton, douchebag"... Remember, that was only one of the insulting PMs being reported by me.
Now, is that against the rules or not? Oh, btw, that PM was the initial one "out of the blue" (thus not a defensive "counter attack"), and ofc reported, and ofc asked why no action is being taken, ... and the top of the top? This PM was put into an open thread by the insulter who found new victims nowadays... So, you judge.

@ mods: This post isnt against the rules, I didnt name names (thus protect privacy), just wanted to make my point clear... because I dont wanna sound like I make things up.

If you have a problem with the moderation of the site you could always email Dan Benson. I would say that a PM like that deserves a ban but I have no idea of the story preceding it so don't want to comment on an isolated incident. Also, I ain't a mod so my opinion is worthless anyway. :)

Foxxy, please let me finish writing this PM to you before you respond here again on this matter. I'm in the middle of writing it right now. K?

See member suspension thread...

Wow, the death penalty! I feel like we should have a moment of silence for our long time provocateur. Things will be awfully rational around here from now on.

Re: Re:

The moderation is, to be frank, a joke.

One good question would be why there are certain privileges for a selected three-four posters to troll/bait how much they wish in the racing section and the Contador-thread, while some other gets banned the sooner our beloved mods feels like setting an example. Dont you realise this is what creates and spurs the trolling/baiting further?

And since none question asked when handing out a ban, what exactly are people allowed to say or not towards our beloved mods so that we doesnt get banned for "harrasing mods and administrators"? I mean i could easily see this North Corea-style thingy getting used as an justification of banning people who generally doesnt approve how these things i point out gets handled around here.

I suppose you don't read Froome thread ;) That thread is becoming harder and harder to follow even with ignore list because of the quotes system.

at the risk of being
stood down for a period of time

I feel that certain posters
particularly in the clinic
have carte blanche

post count
time on the forum
agreement on positions held

seem to carry much weight on the forum these days
especially when certain posters
actually ask the mods to discredit
question and then ban
the motives of new members

seems a bit strange to me
oh well......

These accusations of favouritism are usually made by both sides on any argument on here. If you check the suspension thread you'll see people from both sides in the main argument get suspended.

I usually tend to think that both sides complaining means the mods are doing a good job.
