Of the 9 biggest annual races on the calendar, 6 have been won by exactly 2 of the Big 6 - including all Grand Tours - and all 6 have been won by a different combination of 2 riders.

That's pretty wild. And if Alaphilippe had not done what he did in Liège, the number would have been 7 and still different combinations in all 7.

In 1964, Jacques Anquetil won the Giro/Tour double while Raymond Poulidor won the Vuelta.

Since then, it has only happened one time that the three Grand Tours were won by riders from the same country? When and by what country was that?*

It seems very likely that it will happen for a third time this year.

*Edit: As can be seen below, this actually happened two times more.

So it didn't happen today because BOC hung on to the red jersey, but has there ever been a stage in the the third week of a GT where all 4 jerseys have changed hands?

Is this the first time the three leaders’ jerseys in a GT have been held by three different Australians?

No.
In the 2010 Giro Cadel Evans won the points jersey, Matthew Lloyd won the mountain jersey, and Richie Porte won the BYR jersey.

Aah, I misunderstood your question. I thought you meant "Three of (the four) leaders' jerseys".

Is there a list of how many stages a country has won in one year? Slovenia must be pretty high (especially considering it's 2 riders).

And assuming Rog wins, which country has the best palmares in a calendar year? Obviously Pog could still add a WC and GdL.

Have to think it's not that high considering the old days of Giro and Vuelta being utterly dominated by Italians and Spaniards, and then like the Merckx era when half the peloton was Belgian pub riders along with him.
But back then they tended to only ride their home GT. (Or at least be majorly succesful).

Five straight wins for Hirschi. I wonder what the record is for consecutive wins in professional 1-day races?

Gilbert had a bunch of stage races among those wins, so although that is a longer streak, it doesn’t have the pristine beauty of Hirschi’s.

No, 7 one-day races in a row (but with stage races in between that I ignored): Brabantse Pijl, Amstel Gold Race, Flèche Wallonne, Liège - Bastogne - Liège, National Championships Belgium (Hooglede-Gits) R.R., Clasica San Sebastian, National Championships Belgium (Tervuren) I.T.T.
