Richie Porte - 6th, 7th and 6th in consecutive stages to Alpe d'Huez. He climbed it on one other occasion where he missed the top 10.

Actually, this wasn't correct. Luxembourg didn't win between 1966 and 2006, so that too beats the 34 years for Canada.

So where do Cav's wins go? The Isle of Man isn't part of the UK (it was never in the EU) but its not a country on its own either. I think it has circa 404 stage wins per million.

There was a lot of talk about Spain, Italy and France possibly going winless this Tour. This made me think when the last stage was, where no italian, spanish or french riders finished in the top-10. It‘s stage 9 of the 2018 TdF with Sylvain Chavanel in 14th the highest finisher from these countries. Sadly not really a mental statistic because that‘s pretty recent.
