Lefevre just confirmed Kwia will leave. Kwia wants to focus more on GC while Lefevre doesn't really seem to believe he could be a real climber.

In other news: Michal will race in Tour de Pologne
Majka not confirmed either way. Said he doesn't know if he will be sent to Vuelta and how tired he will be after doing hard work in Alpes.

I am happy that Michal has GC ambitions. He can win lots of one week races by improving his climbing a bit. He has the engine and work ethics for it.

Particularly with the support riders at Sky.

Seems these days all the young guys who can ride hills want to be GC contenders

I am pretty sure that Michal wants to compete in Ardennes for 2-3 more seasons and then go for stage races. His development at Etixx has slowed down though thats why the change in scenery is not a bad thing
I am dissapointed though that he doesn't try cobbles as I think he could seriously challenge there.

Legs are still massive. Looks very similar to last year's preparation. He will have seriously hard time in dropping weight and improving climbing. Probably another season of focusing on the classics, maybe will be in better shape than last year.

I still believe that his descending skills and ability to handle distance makes him one of the contenders in Rio

Look on that:

Looks thinner than in Etixx but maybe it's a consequence of black jersey. I think, he'll be focused on Rio.

Here is his picture prior to 2015 season.
Extremely thin as well. That's just how his upper body looks like. Does he look thinner at Sky? Maybe. Really hard to judge since the angle is slightly different and the color change.

He'll do what the team tells him to do. Ride for Froomie and like it.

You do realize they have completely different goals this season, and will ride separately, right?
The only common target they have is the Olympics and I can hardly see them having a leadership issue there....

I think he will ride for him at TDF though.

He will, but as a preparation to the Olympics and 2nd part of the season, not getting in top shape for that race

Kwiatkowski in the latest interview says that he is starting to get better. Got sick and missed Algarve, which is a shame because he likes to start his season there, and that he still didn't feel well during Strade. Starting to get better now, and gets stronger with each day.
Expects to be strong AT San Remo and following races, but thinks that even the last stages of TA (interview from couple of days ago) will already show his form. Underlines that he is one of the few leaders at Sky and hopes that he will win couple of classics and a week long stage this season.
I am personally very excited to see how his climbing for has improved. I expect him to be a monster in ITTs

Seems there is huge pressure on him to perform, early classic somwhere win is a must for him.

Well, he is a world champion and together with Majka most talented cyclists that Poland had since Jaskula.
Pressure is enormous, but he has already more than lived up to it with ponferrada and AGR.

I am sure he will finally get his monument as well. WOn't be shocked if it will be MSR to be honest, although it will take some brilliant riding since there is likely going to be better sprinter than him in the finale

He and Landa were really a disappointment in the early season for sky. At least their CQ stats don't look good at all and that usually means quite a lot. A good position in the Tirreno Adriatico gc would at least be something for Kwiat but Landa hasn't even done one single race this season.

Not good? What did he ride? He was second twice in Mallorca, one time even winning the bunch sprint for second place. After that he was in the action at Strade Bianche. He got dropped, but he was at least one of the entertainers of that day. And now, his third race of the season, he is also there to fight for a good gc-position. He might not take second place like last year at PN, but he was at the front of every racde he rode so far. Really don't know what you are talking about. And that after he was ill not long ago.

I don't really remember him at Strade Bianche. Like at all. That may just be me but I think I must've missed something. At Tirreno he has been decent, though.
