Made Sky look stupid today. If you're not on a good day then you communicate that fact to your teammates earlier in the race so some riders who could potentially do something in the final (Nordhaug, Poels) don't sacrifice themselves for you.

The problem with Michal is (based on every interview after each race where he similarly sucked) that he feels good, doesn't have problems, and suddenly at one moment entire energy is gone.
Really frustrating for his fans, but hard to blame him for having his team work in such scenario.

You say that but I saw an interview of his after Flanders and he admitted he didn't feel great which is why he went on the attack early instead of waiting for the final lap. Of course when you're going clear with the likes of Sagan and Vanmarcke and you don't feel that good, it isn't exactly a great race winning tactic.

well at least he has an excuse to get dropped after burning his matches early. :D

Kind of an awful monuments campaign for Kwiatko, he failed in every single one of them, except San Remo. I wonder what Sky is gonna do with him now, just another monster domestique in the Tour like Boasson Hagen?

Kwait I say will ride the Tour as in his contract ...just as its in NIeve's contract...unless soemthing happens
Maybe that is why Kiry is not on Giro duty ....held for Tour in case Kwait goes MIA

Because Kiry & Puccio not at Giro is a strange one (if its true)

So must be disappointed with his Ardennes campaign

Plus if Michael Matthews goes to SKY next year as reported where will that leave Kwaito?

Matthews doesn't climb well enough for the Ardennes -Like to see him try more cobbles - As it stand know Matthews is suited to MSR/AG and races like Gent Werelgam or similar - he's not suited to LBL or Flanders or Fletch Wallone.

But neither is Kwait .....And SKY have Poles and Heano for Ardennes as demonstrated thsi year
And Stannard/Rowe. Thomas etc fot Flanders

My point is there is no definitive niche for KWAIT if you take away AG & MSR as Matthews would do
Do I need to point this out ?

Can't see Matthews going to Sky, and even so Kwiat would remain their most talented and successful classics rider.

He might have just had a bad week due to illness, injury, loss of form or whatever.

Still way too early to write him off as a classics guy for Sky. Snap judgements being made here, in my opinion.

From what I saw of the race, he did a solid enough job working for Poels. He has also won a WT semi-classic and been prominent in RVV.

A moderately disappointing season, I guess. I prefer to judge him after another 12 months....talking in Tour, GdL, Olympics and another spring classics campaign.
