Nevertheless, as a fan, he hasn't convinced me yet (not that he has too :D): he's seems to follow a lot of the Valverde playbook regarding tactis.
I don't know. If anyone deserves the prize as the most aggressive rider of the year, it's him. He has done more than most riders in the peloton.

- In a long breaks as early as halfway through in Roma, GP Nobili and Dwars.
- Active but inattentive in Strade Bianche.
- Attacking as early as the penultimate climb in GP Miguel Indurain.
- Trying something in nearly every stage of the Pais Vasco instead of just relying of his sprint.
- Closing holes (Nibali, Kreuziger) and pulling the GC group (Ans hill) in Liege.

He is no super human, you can't except him to attack ALL the time. Sometimes it just comes down to a sprint regardless of the outcome like in Fleche.

If we were talking Gerrans, I would certainly agree with you.

SoOooOo cute. :D Young Kwiatkowsi on a time trial in Poland.

he should aim at green and white jersey in the tour, give a run at Sagan's money, and win the yellow jersey the year after. :D

I don't see him being a contender for the green jersey...He won't be in contention at all on the flat stages. The only points he'd be able to pick up would be ones after a mountain. Sagan's strength is that he can collect the points pretty much anywhere.

Does anyone know if he'll have any support at all? Or will he just be a loner trying the best he can with the GC....Anyone think he can better his overall results from last years TdF?

After voting for him in the polls and watching him all spring there is no more denying the urge to cheer for him, it is official - Michal Kwiatkowski is da bomb

He most certainly is! Very nice win from him today. :)

All Hail Kwiatkowski! The second coming of Merckx! _O_

He might have a few climbers like Bakelants (not sure of his or other climbers on the teams schedule) that can assist him. But most of the team will probably be riders for Cav's train.

I could still see him improving on last year however. Unless he enters the Tour to fatigued I see him continuing to improve.

I think Kwia will certainly aim for white but I can't see him coping on the difficult climbs- especially if there is an in form Betancur/Bardet/Pinot etc who are arguably stronger on the harder climbs. However he can certainly beat his position last year (11th) and perhaps win a stage for sure. Anyone think that he could win stage 2 and get yellow early?

Guys please, is there any story about Kwiatkowski being refused by Lefevere when he was younger, or something along those lines? Similar as what happened with Sagan. Thank you.

How could you guys even doubt that Kwia wont be comfortably in top-10 GC?

He may not be a big climber like say Quintana. But he was sort of matching the AC attacks in the Basque race.

He will miss a few min in tough mountains, but he can make up a lot in TTs. Also, he is bound to win a few stages.

But in TA he showed that he can also crack hard in the mountains. He is not a natural climber and never will be and consecutive tough stages can crack him, I think.

Why did he choose not to start? Just to get some rest before the Tour?

Too lazy to look it up myself, 5 hours in the saddle earlier tired me out to much to make the effort. :p
