I think you are confusing the Tour Colombia with Vuelta a Colombia

Yes you're right this one

I thought doping was a thing of the past. Isn't that what we've been told repeatedly? i.e. the peloton has been clean since the dirty-bad Armstrong era.

Modern pros ride on clean energy.
Let's save the D-word for the Other Place and think here only of his loss to such stellar races as the Clásica de Ciclismo Ciudad de Villeta. He will be sorely missed. By the few who still remember him.

Best high altitude climber in modern pro cycling (at least until Vingegaard became Vingegaard).

Also, best meltdown ever in the 2021 Vuelta (rage quitting incident).

I don't know man, the forum rules are not supposed to be a road racing forum omerta. He's provisionally suspended, that's a fact not speculation.
Discussions about it belong in the clinic, sure, but you are suggesting just to act as if he was a tragic loss from pro-cycling. That's overdoing it. Of course it's your right to act as if doping wasn't a part of the sport, but you can't demand it from the rest of us, especially not once someone is actually suspended.

Yeah it's a tough call because the big bad D-word is actually mentioned several times in the UCI article.

There's no hiding from this one.

Cause, like, after more than a decade on this site, everyone knows I think the sport is totes cleans and there's no such thing as doping.

I'm simply suggesting you follow the forum's rules. Don't, if you want: if you're lucky all that'll happen is you get some posts deleted.

Jarlinson Pantano.

A scandal…

Maybe winning almost all stages at the Vuelta a Colombia is considered a „potential anti-doping rule violation“ - I have no other explanation.

I hope this ban ends in time before the Vuelta a Espana, so he can lead one of the teams there…
Who’s going to pick him up now though? To me it looks like his career at the pro level is done unfortunately.
