He's done it! Now he doesn't have to do the TDF!

I think you're right honestly. Pog is going to crush him at Flanders and honestly, if I was a betting man I'd be betting on Pog at PR, he's a man on a mission and MVDP did appear at least today to be a bit of short of where he needs to be imho.
MVDP also crashed, had to pace himself back instead of going through the team cars. Might just have been on a bad day. I wouldn't draw any conclusions about a race that is nearly a month from now.

And if there's any weather, I fear Pogi doesn't have a chance.

Teddy has finally conquered his most difficult race! What a legendary performance. He was down, chased the peleton, attacked on Cipressa, attacked again on Poggio dropping MVP and won a tight sprint vs Pidcock.

Now we can 100% say that Cipressa attack is the new norm in Pogacar era. Despite setbacks just before the climb and not favourable wind Pog (with great help from Del Toro and McNulty) distanced all guys except two. I was wrong before the race thinking the wind would complicate Cipressa.

I will never understand what Pidcock and MVDP were thinking. As if Pogacar would have allowed the peloton to come back. It's like they gave it to him on a silver platter.
