this place used to have some good information and the younger posters- of which there were plenty- had a lot of class and wits.
A few are still here and they are great posters..there has been a huge change in the last year…

There used to be good-natured ribbing..

now it's like the preschool unloaded and now we see taunts and jeers.
not a lot of real substance..
'big shots' slinging words and trying to thinly veil insults hoping they can get a bit of conflict for titillation

I knew a mod would get wind of the frivolity and nuke it sooner or later. It was like death or taxes. A CN Mod will always overreact when anyone is having fun. It isn't.
Although it says more about you that you think that anyone who has a contrary opinion on the Sky thread must be a troll.

While I do not agree with the new member, they have remained civil and on topic - if you disagree with them but cannot put up a counter argument then that either a reflection on your posting style or that your argument is weak.

Again, that is more revealing about you and your ability to post than about them.

The new(ish) poster arguing against the consensus on the LA thread is still there.
And quite frankly I have no problem with that - very often though, it is a former banned user, that why they do not last long.
That is a mod decision - one I don't particularly agree with.

Also, there are plenty of other posters on the LA thread who do not adhere to your view on what a consensus is and have been rightly allowed post for years.

Not only did I read - I will quote the full "ranting" & "bile" comments to put it in context:
"Anyone know of somewhere where the counter arguments are put intelligently as all I can find is ranting and bile?"

I do remember a poster coming in and having a crack at RR offering real life information - do you think that is innocent?
(As well as that is the mo of a guy who has burned through 200 usernames here)

The only one I remember was one of BPCs accounts - again, I would have no problem with them being allowed post as long as they were posting on topic or not going personal, but that is no longer their objective.
