congrats to ebandit for expanding an already impressive oeuvre of meaningless and above all humorless troll posts.
beats me how the moderators aren't picking up on this.
I can appreciate a good troll from time to time, but the amount of humorless metacommentary in most of his/her posts is jawdropping.
constantly making it about the poster rather than engaging in normal debate about the thread's actual topic.
guys like MartinVickers and JimmyFingers were at least witty and willing to consider actual arguments from time to time.
ebandit is neither nor.
this is just me wondering how/why the mods allow for that to happen?

Probably because they actually read and comprehend the posts...

....but sniper.....you've two options......report my posts which you think are trolling......put me on ignore.....either way quit sitting on the sidelines whining.....its pathetic.

Defending everything sky and british is nothing new in the clinic, but yes it has been done better before. Martinvickers was a very good troll, I must give him credit for that. He made the clinic unreadable for years before the mods figured out what he was doing.

Yesterday you accused me of making it about the poster, (closed minded) having yourself just called anybody who failed to agree with the OP as delusional and in denial.

There seems to be a faction around here who think it's perfectly acceptable for them to throw stones while standing in the same glass house.

as i said, i can always appreciate a good troll, including the occasional stone's throwing, of which i myself am no doubt guilty at times.
i'm just deploring the complete lack of humor/class in ebandit's trolling.
if you troll, do it with style/class.
we've had plenty of intriguing, witty trolls in here, whose posts i used to read just to get a good laugh.
A good troll also knows how to provoke, pull the blood from under my nails.
ebandit's posts achieve none of all that. The only thing he has in common with a good troll is that he makes threads unreadable.

Walsh working for Sky is win-win.
ebandit posting in the clinic is loose-loose.
just my opinion of course.
and don't get me wrong, the guy himself may be a formidable person.

Funny, when you "whined" about a post of mine, I suggested thread you report the posts which you found to be trolling or attacking. In that case you declined, blaming the mods for lack of action. Now we have this.

To me, blatant and repeated intellectual dishonesty is a hallmark of trolling. You have confirmed what I've seen you do in a dozen threads. Nowhere to hide on this one.

Regarding your accusation against the mods, I find them to be appropriately responsive, taking action on egregious posts which I've reported and deciding not to on others.

How was that a personal attack? He said you were being intellectually dishonest in your posts. That is a comment on your posting style not a personal attack, and I think RF and others can very easily explain and give examples as to how and where you are behaving thus.

And as far as you trolling or not goes, I will say this.

You have for years complained and complained and complained about the way the hog (or as you call him, "hoggy", purely because you know it winds him up) posts, but at the moment you are mirroring as much as you can the hog's posting style and going back and forth and back and forth and back and forth with him sniper and sceptic in thread after thread after thread.

I'm sorry but this post is really bellow the belt.

I pointed out that a poster edited a post of mine to change the meaning. Which they did. And they even admit it.
But del tells me I am "trolling" by pointing this out?

I'm not even allowed to say "oi, you edited my post" to someone when theybattack me after changing the meaning themselves ?
