I don't see the issue. What is the problem with me posting some highlight videos in the AC thread to distract attention from cineteq's baiting? I know many people enjoy watching these. I don't see how that is "toxic". I would never post anything in a fanboy/fangirl subforum. If I want to go all fangirl crazy about Alberto, I'll do it on twitter, not on here.

I think cineteq is just trolling again.

Not to mention a fanboy subforum would look ridiculous on a serious forum  what is this, a One direction forum?

Damn gurl, did he even mention ya? Y'all campaigning Against my brotha cineteqs.

We want the use the forum to discuss riders, races, etc. I don't want to see numerous and unralated posts with pics and videos, it's noise, it's toxic. Again, please either create a new subforum for these members, or they can go to Velorooms.

Btw, I recently called a member a troll and my post got deleted inmediately. This poster, LaFlorecita, keeps calling me a troll left and right (with no base) and nobody does anything. I really don't care being called a troll, but allow me to do the same if I choose to do so. I hate double standards.

Thanks for supporting the idea.

I think it would be nice to have an "optimistic", or non aggressive section, if you prefer, where folks could go to town over their favourite riders.
Negative stuff would then automatically be trolling.
Kind of like the Clinic, but in reverse.;)
Why do I feel another poll coming on? :D

Just sceptic posting in his usual manner.

Why don't we all avoid calling each other trolls. Florecita, Cyneteq, and everyone else. Okay?

That being said, the main problem I see with such a section is it would be very difficult to maintain. It reminds me of the appreciations/depreciation threads, you can't really have one without the other.

How is a video of Alberto's season, or something he tweeted, not related to Alberto?

And again someone mentions Velorooms. I don't think it is what you think it is.

Avoiding a single word isn't gonna achieve very much. There will still be debating between parties who aren't open to each others views and arguments, wether it makes sense or not, and that's bound to get a little unfriendly every now and then

I'll try though

Also Cineteq, if you want to avoid video's, just don't click a youtube link, they're pretty easily avoidable, it's more easy than making an entire subforum.
Understand it's the amount of unbearable noise. Those threads are NOT appreciation threads, they are discussion threads. A new subforum or take it to Velorooms seem the best solutions IMO.

I don't understand Afrank saying it'd be difficult to maintain. Maintain what? People posting videos, pics, and praising each other?

I think we need some manuevering space here..

Creating a subforum like suggested would also include the risk of posters bashing other posters "fan-threads"... ( sorry, but don't think peeps can help themselves)

So basically it would just spread out postings and equal more work for the mods..

I like the structure as it is..

It's going to be difficult to keep the threads exclusively as threads to praise the rider, as there's a faction of people that hates/doesn't like every rider. Plus would discussion be allowed in the section? Or would all discussion that isn't in praise of the rider have to go to the PRR section? I see it getting confusing fast.

The threads for each rider were changed to discussion threads at the realization that one can't have appreciation without depreciation and vice versa. That doesn't mean people can only have pure discussion in those threads, but just that they are the threads for everything concerning the rider. Discussion, depreciation, appreciation, whatever.

For my part, I have no problem with pictures or twitter posts or whatever else being posted in the threads so long as it's on topic. If a thread is having a lot of that kind of stuff posted at any particle time, no one is forcing anyone to read through it.

Also agree with mrhender here, especially the bolded.

In other words, you're saying you don't want to moderate? Isn't it your job or what you signed on for? So instead of finding a solution, you're suggesting: "let's leave it as that with noise that way because we don't have to work that much". Very dissapointed.

While the thread does contain some discussion, it has also seen discussion about any Saxo/Tinkoff rider, Nibali, Froome, Quintana, Schleck and others. It started out as a love declaration, and just as you're getting accused of being a troll, you want it replaced.

Yeah, seems about right

Might as well have another subforum where posters can hate on each other indiscriminately

Personally I wouldn't post in a fanboy/girl sub forum. I am an objective, nonbiased, lover of cycling who understands that AC is currently the best stage racer around. :) I enjoy when vid's and tweets are posted in the discussion thread. It's the AC thread - duh that's where it should go. It is the winter season, of course we are going to go back and watch our favorite highlights.

I could understand Cineteq not wanting us to mention AC in the Nibali thread, but it is beyond my understanding as to why I can't post a video of AC in the AC thread.

This is very unfair to Afrank imo...

Afrank is by far the most active moderator here..
He always aid when needed, always listens and is willing to engage in arguments.

Now you criticize him for having an opinion..?

Afrank didn't sign up here for you to dictate the problems, or the solutions..
Nor did he sign up to be just a tool for dissatisfied posters....

Afrank has been working his a@@ of with that bot while maintaining his other services to us.. All of this he does for free..

And so what if he doesn't want more work?
I can't blame him. Especially if the reason is bullocks...

Read well my complain, the adjectives I use. Anyway, you don't have to worry - one mod already said it will remain the same. You guys can post even more noise if you want.

Edit: Oh ya this is the moderators thread: Yes Afrank has been doing an excellent job with all of the spam!

I came here to file a solid complain. I've been respectful, and I expect Afrank don't take my argument personally, I actually like him. Respect my opinion as I respect yours. If you guys want to pile up on me be my guest.
