I don't know what's been lost for good or recovered yet. If we can give it a few hours to stabilize and then look at the situation, that would be best.

Next thing is that all Lemond threads will be deleted...hrotha said:Closing the Quintana thread is ridiculous.

BigMac said:One last question. Are you mods considering banning me? Just so I know.

I've only been on these forums for about a month and confine myself almost exclusively to the Pro Road Racing threads, where, while I'd certainly seen a certain...persnickitiness...out of him, he was actually kind to me in a couple of instances where I'd (unknowingly) set myself up for ridicule. I'm sure the moderators acted appropriately, but I must admit that from my limited data set of his behaviors this surprises me and disappoints me (my disappointment is in him, not the mods).

Netserk said:Wow, permaban!?!
It was one mistake and not something of a serial offender. He is a very curious young kid, who didn't deny Holocaust, but linked to a site questioning it. Sure that was a mistake, but I'm certain a ban of a week or a month would learn him that, and that he wouldn't do anything similar again. Wouldn't the best be to have him back where he acts according to the rules (which he clearly didn't break on purpose) if that is possible?
What does it help to permaban him instead of giving him one month? Do you really think he ever again would do something similar? Do you think it would work more as a deterrent than the month would?
Please reconsider this. It's not like he was a big troublecauser in general.
