I have had numerous discussions with Hiero2 about this issue on other threads, and via email. With it always coming back to a cultural difference on interpretation of "private message". I meant nothing else than that, and am sorry if any of you took offence.

That is an interesting theory, but I suggest that you are over-thinking this one way too much. I highly doubt that most people would make a decision over sharing private correspondence because of legal reasons, because I doubt that most people actually know their legal status in this regard. I honestly didn't. Finally, I would suggest that interpretation of 'private message' is more likely a personal decision rather a cultural difference. YMMV

After he got called out on it by the Hog he has been working on a relentless campaign to get hog banned. Pretty childish if you ask me, but it is what it is.

I had lunch with Richie last week.

The entree was good but my steak was a little chewy and Richie thought his fish wasn't cooked properly.

None the less we washed it down with a few cocktails. Started with a Bloody Mary then a few beers. Richie ordered a bottle of wine with the mains and then amped it some vodka shots. We were f-cked.

That's when I looked him in the eye and I knew he was off his head. His eyes were almost in the back of his head. I asked him about doping and he was straight forward. Richie can't actually spell or write his own name but he said he'd never dope on Sundays or with the light turn on. That was good enough for me.

I don't know if Sky are doping but Richie is a straight shooter. In fact we kicked on to a local bar and got on some potent whiskey and Porte bombed them like he was on spring break. I was calling him shooter Porte.

It was awesome!

This isnt about RR and I dont really see the relevance but here you have it:

I had lunch with Richie last week. I would be the last person a doper would want to hang out with.

I found him very open, direct, and confident. He was clearly very passionate about the sport and his team. I asked a lot of questions and he gave me very direct, non-evasive, answers. I have had the same discussion with dozens of riders over the years but few have been as direct as Richie.

Hog worked hard to twist this into some apologist nonsense when it was clear to most who actually read what I wrote it was not. I talked to one of the key riders in the sport and left puzzled. Kimmage, and others, have done the same when they talked to Froome and his lady.

While some may find Hog's twisting of what I wrote funny the reality is it insures that few will come here to share their first hand experience as they know a small group of trolls with twist it for their entertainment.

You really dont expect people in the industry to come here and be honest!

Even JV pulls our collective legs most of the time for his own giggles.

I bet loads of English speaking people in the sport have viewed CN forums at some stage, but not one will dare come in to give real truths as themselves.
