There is not need to post the same thing twice Amsterhammer, and please calm down. A few posts have been moved to a thread only we can see until we figure out to do with them.

I want my long post about the refugee crisis back. It was an outrage to delete that. There was nothing whatsoever offensive in that post. If you people are going delete it then at least copy it to me in a PM, since I didn't make a copy - why would I, it never occurred to me that post could be deleted.

And yes, I am pissed off and outraged. One of you has seriously overstepped the boundary of acceptable moderation. FYI, my long refugee post was made before foxxy's ban, which I only found out about when I saw IHarm's post in the Politics topic about 30 minutes ago.

I had to edit out some parts of that post that were reference to Foxxy or were against the rules, but the post is back.

And you need to know that as mods we are juggling a lot of pieces to any given conflict. So sometimes we need to move or edit certain posts until we can fix a thread and get it back on topic. Instead of posting angry, it is useful sometimes to take a step back and discuss these things with us calmly. PM me if you have any more issues with how the thread has been put back together.

What is "against the rules" about the words "Pegida" and "neo-Nazi"? You're just making this up as you go along. Ask Susan if those words are "against the rules", especially as I did not use those words to describe foxxy.

I would like an apology from the mod who decided to first remove my post, and then censor it. I understand the removal of foxxy's name in view of subsequent events, but the censorship of two widely used political terms is completely out of order.

Amster, are you even reading what's being said. No reason for frustration whatsoever, check the World Politic's thread.

Hope you consider it dealt with.

No, I don't consider it "dealt with" until the wrongly censored words are restored, and I have received an apology from whomever committed this outrage against 'normal' free speech.

mrhender shouldn't be a moderator.
Is this just an observation or do you have a real reason?

You should thank your lucky stars someone like mrhender is sacrificing the amount of time moderating the forum that he is, and treating everyone with respect and dignity on the forum, and behind the scenes.

You have no idea how many levels of wrong you are.

Whatever hurt feelings you have should be backed up with at least some sort of incident that would indicate why he's not capable of doing his moderating job.

It's my opinion.
And no reason to be thankful. He accepted the role voluntarily. No one pushed him. Don't exaggerate.
Do you want me to forward you our PM correspondence?

Please do.

I'm not exaggerating.
Has mrhender agreed?
It's about his privacy, too.

By all means proceed.

Dan, or any other mod for that matter are free to have a look at those pm's as they are strictly moderation-related.

I called it 'the incident' because I just woke up and misspoke.

mrhender said nothing other than that you can't repeat it in the forum because it was PM communication.

Do you think I lied to you about having his permission?

Look, if you want someone else to know about it then PM me, otherwise it just ends here.

I've forwarded it to you, and I'm double checking 'cause I have experience with the "abuse of the green letters".

i may add more details later, sorry haven't got the time atm, but there's definitely a problem imo with the moderation on this forum...a serious problem imo.

this is an obvious departure from my normal attitude (and my posting record should prove it) that one should always take a look at oneself BEFORE expecting the mods/admins heeding them.

i dont blame the active mods alone who had been responsible for the latest avalanche of bans but they, along with the nontransparent rules that supposedly served them to administer those bans of the wildly arbitrary duration, need some reckoning.

Still thinks the current mods takes the job too serious (or more likely the forum itself).
Anyway, we have to wait and see what the latest actions will do to the site off season.
It could end with a kindergarten where everybody clap in the hands simultaneous.

I agree, but you don't help matters by your repugnant pig reference in the tennis thread.
Not funny.

yes, the mods do a thankless job.

so let my thanks go out to them.

but someone please have read my entire oeuvre before you allege one individual post is malicious or baiting or trolling. 98% of what i write, is not serious, it is satire, occasionally i write a serious post, and that should be easily parsed, and it may have actually more of an effect because of the other harlequin range i post in normally.

Even though you say 98% of your posts are satirical, they still need to comply with normal forum rules.

In many of your posts you toe the line between acceptable and offensive, so it should come as no surprise to you that you may suffer a ban every so often when you post over 10,000 comments.

I counted how many times you've been banned since the 'suspension' thread has been around and it's 6.

That's quite amazing when you really think about it.

So, what is it with having race livestreaming link in my posts to professional races board automatically make those posts not postable? When the Tour of Utah was on and someone mentioned that they couldn't see live broadcast, I posted the link to the tourtracker page of that race, the post never got through (went into the 'to be reviewed' limbo and never turned up at all). A few hours later somebody else posted the same link and didn't seem to have any problem.

This morning I posted the link to the livestreaming of La Course by La Vuelta in the women's professional races thread, and the same thing happened. Still in the 'to be reviewed' limbo somewhere and never turned up. What's the problem???
