I hate how Roglic races, but in my opinion he is far from being overrated. He has a very good palmares.
Yeah I don't know if I would seriously call any of these overrated (I don't have a clear idea of whom the general consensus rates too highly). I based my pick on Pidcock getting lumped in with MvdP and WvA in CX sometimes, and Roglic with Pogacar and Vingegaard in GTs.

I picked the only one that I have not seen racing even once. A good indication for me that He is overrated.

Wait, what???
If you call someone overrated, it indicates you don't rate them that highly. If a lot of people don't rate someone that highly, how can that person be overrated? You need to be rated highly to be overrated. :)

Of course that's a simplification and I don't necessarily stand firmly by everything I have said but I just wanted to provoke you to think about it this way. This kind of polls has a potential to be a logical paradox.

(as Mod) Thanks for this, @Netserk !

Be nice, guys, to each other and if not necessarily nice, be at least neutral about nationalities. I'll cite it again: Civility is compulsory. But it doesn't stop us from critiquing the performance of professionals.

No issues requiring intervention yet, but I've a feeling I'll have to put this thread on my watchlist.

Hard to say, if we go by the Anglo-media buzz it's Pidcock by a mile.
Not just the Anglo media (although they are definitely the worst regarding him, as you'd expect). Every winter, the Dutch-speaking media will hype up the so-called Big 3 taking to the field (when Pidcock averages less than one win a season in crosses featuring all three) and it kind of carries over into road racing.

I think De Lie is probably a bit young to judge but he does seem to be a .1 bully. Went with van Aert given the resources at his disposal at Jumbo and the Belgian national team and yet only one big win.

Interesting; I thought that was purely an Anglo thing when it came to cyclocross commentary but it seems the Dutch media are just as daft.

This seems like a very contentious topic. I would go Pidcock though, I usually consider him along guys like Mohoric, Mads Peterson, or Laporte in the "not a surprise result if they win" class but anglophone commentary tends to put him in the class of elite one day racers.

To be fair to Pidcock, whilst he is nowhere near to the consistent dominance of the big two, his performances are daily regularly best of the rest and he could win the World Cup series comfortably if he was full time in CX.

On the road he is overrated as the biggest up and coming British men’s elite rider and I think he would get better results concentrating on the hilly classics instead of the cobbles.

I know of someone, let's call this person Dominica Vacanze, who would like to nominate an American, two or three Brits, a Slovak, a Belgian, and, if she ever were to exchange her skis for a bike, another American :p
LOLOL, can we not escape her even for a second?!?!? :tearsofjoy:

Voted De Lie as he is currently experiencing a difficult transition from .1 points and wins farmer to being leader in the world tour classics.
