Lastly I thought you didn't music with "like" soft drums.

Yeah you're right usually I don't, in some ways this is quite different from the jazz I normally listen to. Somehow this music

And indeed the Jews are a really musical people which shows in different genres. :)

On another note, I'm now listening to Nikolai Kapustin:

Impromptu op 66 no 2

Prelude op 53 no 11

This guy is really an odd one. He uses classical forms and composes everything note for note as if he's making classical music and because of this he insists that he doesn't make jazz, but stylistically it's undeniably mostly jazz. The results are pretty interesting and unique. :)

I'm listening to Matthew Sweet - Time Capsule: The Best of.

Sweet is a terrific songwriter, who for some reason is cronically overlooked. It's a damn shame. One of the greats of 1990s powerpop.

Here's three of my favorite songs of his

Devil With the Green Eyes
I've Been Waiting
Sick of Myself

yea, almost certain I saw Sweet at the Wolf Trap in the early nineties. Good band live too iirc. Memory is hazy.
