That's one great song, OFC originally sung by Clapton and Gordon's band "Derek and the Dominos":

Jaco Pastorius' self-titled debut release. With Herbie Hancock burning up the ivories, Wayne Shorter & David Sanborn on sax, Lenny White on drums and of course Jaco on the bass, like no other before him and ever since his much too premature demise.

Heard on the radio today, one after the other

The Specials - Ghost Town (brings back all those jolly memories of the Thatcher era)

Rolling Stones - Gimme Shelter (I'm too young for this to bring such memories, but one of their best)

Also, thought I'd post some Jesca Hoop, here with Guy Garvey from Elbow in a left-field folkish ballad (well she was the Waits' nanny)

This thread moves too quickly for me to keep up, but does anyone here listen to Dark Ambient?

It's like everyone knows what it is for the most part, but hardly anyone can name any real artists or albums, and there doesn't seem to be that many sites, message boards or even threads on boards dedicated to it.

Pete Namlook should also be mentioned, though I like him more with Burhan Öcal, which is not really ambient anymore with Öcal's percussions..

Love this song by Survivor "Is This Love"

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=URR5U-97tCo&feature=results_video&playnext=1&list=PL8873D0F6EADF458C

Also this song in rocky 4 when stallone is racing down the road in his car and this music is playing. Its "No Easy Way Out" by Robert Tepper. This music is really motivational for training. Some song though.

Yes, very motivational.
I own the official soundtrack.

You know you have to wear a grey jogging suite and drink fresh mixed eggs before.
Visiting the slaughterhouse or some stairs makes it perfect. :D

I see you are from Cork ?
Once I travelled to that horrible prison on that island near Cork.
just to visit someone of course. ;)
Is it still opened ?
It felt like Alcatraz. For a short moment I really thought I would never leave that island again. Yes.
I think I still have the permition paper somewhere. Will have a look tomorrow.
