in a interview on Fox Sports Nairo commented that his next race will be Vuelta a Catalunya.

huge block of training for him now then? Can't wait to see him in his next gt (be it the giro or tour) he will a little climbing angel for sure

I'd say it's logical. Nairo is young, has a better chance to win Giro, let Valverde have another go at a podium in TdF. His time will come for Le Tour.

There is no chance of Valverde doing anything against Froome. None really. He couldn't do anything in the Tour when younger, he is not going to do it now.

First you keep insisting that Quintana is to ride the Tour, now that it turns out he isn't (another thing which was clear to everyone) you say it's because he doesn't want to

Was getting excited about him possibly riding the Tour. Purely for selfish reasons though. Time is on his side, so probably the right decision given this will be Valverde's last shot at the GC there.
