Maybe some hardcore Evan's fans will throw themselves under Andy Schleck's front wheel. Andy never usually needs any help getting into trouble of some kind.

Giro

1. Nibali - dark horse
2. Contador - won't have the form
3. Menchov - pussy
4. Scarponi - always the bridesmaid
5. Kreuzinger - this is his level

Tour

1. Basso - has the hunger and the ability and a good team
2. Schleck A - will never win the tour
3. Sanchez - crap team who crash 24/7 will see him no higher than 3rd.
4. Contador - tired from stress
5. Gesink - good results

Cuddles - wont feature as he does not dope
Wiggins - wont feature because he looks like and wants to be Liam Gallagher

So Cuddles was doping in 2008?

3. Menchov
4. Nibali
5. Rodriguez

TOUR

I like that Porte call. I forgot about him. I'd love to see him place.

Porte 5th? Against that field!!!

For starters, with the exception of Basso you have all active Giro winners (though Damiano doesnt rank here).
Contador, Menchov, Di Luca

You then have another Grand tour a piece in Nibali and Sastre,

Thats 5 people right there ( i know Richie beat Sastre last year, but Carlos was injured. Hes not gone yet)

Thats just gt winners.

On top of that you got people that in the mountains can make Richie Porte look like Mark Cavendish. Joaquim Rodriguez. Michele Scarponi. Igor Anton. Jose Rujano. Emanuelle Sella.

Porte couldnt beat these guys if you gave him another Laquilla. Hell I'd favour most of them if you gave him 2.

Then theres none contenders like Cunego, Kreuziger, Serpa, Uran(if he rides) etc who are also better than Porte.

So Richie Porte. Top 5 in the Giro

Your avin a laugh.

but does anyone think that it could even be possible that Contador wins all 3 GTs this year?

This year? Not... He needs a better team for that task He needs 2 Dani Navarro and "Death Mask" Sorensen more ;)

Kreuzinger

Long time w/o see his name written like that :D

Ok... let me see... mmmm hum... uhumm... yep.. no... ah... maybe... Ok... Here we go...

Il SuperGiro D'Italia:

Contador
Scarponi
Rujano
Menchov
Il Squalo
Purito
Kreuziger
Anton
Sastre

Le Tour de France: (If Contador is in)

Contador
Cuddles
Samu
Gesink
Basso
Andrew (He will crash and nobody will wait for him, stage 3 remember?)
Vino
Uran
Jurgen

Ye... something like that tho... I dont think that the Great One can make the double this year, maybe for the weak team or for the CAS, but If The feelings are good He will try it...

IMO... He should try "Giro - Vuelta" this year and with that "base - form" go for "Giro - Tour" next year with a more solid team and with NO STRESS like He has this year...

lol, Porte isn't even doing the Giro (unless he is now required to help Bertie there).

It would take some extra special Barney hotsauce to see him top5 in any GT this year.

not any call for Brajkovic in the top5 of the tour?

That is funny. Just like the Richie Porte prediction.:D

I've changed my Giro prediction already.

1. Contador
2. Menchov
3. Anton
4. Kreuziger
5. Scarponi

I think Rodriguez chrono has major holes in it. He'll lose chunks of time, minutes in fact on this alone and drop outside the top 5, despite being up there for the majority of the race. I also think Nibali will crack without Roman to hold his hand and destroy the opposition for him. Add in Rujano and Sella, yeah, Nibali will have his work cut out getting near the top 5. Or so I hope. Scarponi is a scrapper, a dueler, he likes a gritty fight, that is why I put him up there. Di Luca? Hahaha. Yeah, he goes bang once and he paints the largest target on his back possible. He's been done twice, once more he's history. He won't be in 2009 form or even close to it...cannot afford to be. Either way the Giro has a lot of aspiring winners in it, who can all move into the top 5 if an opponent has a bad day. Scarponi could easily come 3rd IMO.

Tour:
1. Contador
2. A.Schleck
3. Evans
4. Samu
5. Basso
6. F. Schleck

I have to put in 6 because AC isn't a shoe in to be racing in July. Jurgen and Gesink will be nipping at Franck's feet. In the event Schleck is top dog come 1st racing day in July, I hope he cracks so Evans can win. I'd even take Basso before Andy Schleck as TdF winner.

Giro.
1. Nibali
2. Anton
3. Scarponi
4 Sastre
5 Kreuziger.

Tour.
1. A Schleck
2. Basso
3. Gesnik
4. Samu Sanchez
5. VDB

This is assuming that Contador is banned by C.A.S following an appeal from UCI and WADA. If not Contador to finish 2nd in Giro and the places adjusted accordingly.

1- contador
rest of the mortals

sorry but some1 had to do this :p

tho i do think it would be not only epic but also absolutely hilarious if contador won the giro and then was still able to beat schleck at the tour

anyway now seriously

giro:
1 conti
2 nibali(keeping his steady improvement over the last couple of years)
3 anton
4 scarponi
5 menchov/rujano/machado

tour:
1 basso
2 samu
3 gesink
4 jurgen
5 F schelck (baby bro will lose time on some random stage due to a fall, but this time no1 waits for him. btw hasn't baby bro also fallen in 2009 and people also waited for him?? )

For me it would have to be:

Giro:
1) A.Contador.
2) V.Nibali.
3) M.Scarponi.
4) R.Kreuziger.
5) I.Anton.

Contador will win this by a mile becasue there isn't any decent finishes. If there were 2-3 then Nibali would probably come out on top because of his ability to fly down mountains. With Kreuziger there, I think this will be his breakthrough year in GT overall contention.

Tour:
1) A.Contador.
2) A.Schleck.
3) R.Gesink.
4) J.Van den Broek.
5) Sammy Sanchez.
6) F.Schleck.

If Contador is aloud to ride the Tour then I think the only way that he won't win is a crash. If Contador isn't there then move the riders up. I think a surprise rider at the Tour could be Tejay Van Garderen. Not for top 10 but top 15.

Vuelta:

1) I.Anton.
2) V.Nibali.
3) D.Menchov.
4) J.Rodriquez.
5) T.Lofkvist.

I know people will think: Why Lofkvist but he is an up and coming GC rider and will perform well this year. If Contador is at the Vuelta then you might witness the first ever winner of all 3 Grand Tour in 1 year!!!!!

Löfkvist will not ride Vuelta this year. He will do giro and tour. After the tour it looks like he will ride take it easy. Then focus on WC RR and lombardia.

Mhm, would make sense yes. But I dont see Contador lose that much time on a descent, only maybe to Nibali.

and Samu if that is the case more against Samu tho... I think that He's way better descender than Il Squalo...

Decided I wouldn't go the obvious way with so many naming the same 10-12 riders, so tried to compose a "stupid" top5 prediction of riders not yet mentioned (took a fast look through the thread):

Giro:
1. Pozzovivo (We know he can climb)
2. Tommy D (THIS is his year!)
3. Pellizotti (clear to race, Movistar takes him in)
4. TGBM (He's so great that even though the Dutch mafia says he won't participate, he'll place fourth)
5. Velits (There's two chances in this pick, but one is most obvious)

Tour:
1. Mosquera (When he's finally "cleared", he'll have to ride the tour as Vacansoleils captain - and Eze delivers!)
2. Vande Velde (THIS is his year! - of no serious crashes)
3. Navarro (With Contador re-sanctioned he better step up!)
4. Van Garderen (After Cav leaves the race, TJ is free to ride his own race)
5. Seeldraeyers (Vandebreakaway, get away! Here comes the real Belgian hope!)

Seing all the above isn't very likely, this will also be my tribute to the "who's a top10 contender" thread, ACF will start to name a few BMC outsiders himself. Tim Roe for top10!!!:p
