Dont think Brammeier will make it four in a row this year, hasnt showed much form this campaign. I think its going to be between either Philly Deignan (if hes doing it as hes in serious form this year) or Sam Bennett who will have the An Post team behind him.

I'm not so sure about the very beginning and end of the lap, but you can gues it will be slaughter.

A bit saddening. What's even their rationale? I mean, as much as I find the idea of nationals built for sprinters absolutely disgusting (do you really like to see your colors being dropped on a 4th cat?), I can somewhat understand it in countries with a big tradition for sprinters, TTers and rouleurs (Australia, for example). Portugal is far from that. So not only running, but repeating a parcours like this sounds simply stupid to me. Is Cândido behind this?

Estonian TT championships today, panflat 42km. Kangert and Taaramae both will take it very seriously so could be interesting. Will also so Taaramae's form just before the tour. Both will be challenged by Gert Joeaar, who has shown good Tt form recently.

...and Kangert won! By 5 seconds. 5 seconds was also probably the biggest difference he had Taaramae had the whole course

Jõeäär and Taaramäe will gang up on Kangert in road race champ. Probably Jõeäär will take the jersy since he has decent spring.

Edit: Altho Taaramäe is the leader so it could go other way. Kangert said to Estonian media that he's not goin for the win. He apparently doesn't need the shirt this time.

Gábor Fejes defended his TT championship pretty easily despite the presence of most Utensilnord guys. Zsolt Dér and Péter Kusztor round out the podium, pretty much what was expected. Was a pretty tough race though, it was extremely hot (38 degrees) and since the route went along the coast of the Danube, it was also full of mosquitos, many riders brought anti-mosquito sprays along with the water bottles :)

Road race could be boring, but the roads are not in the best condition, hopefully that will create some havoc otherwise the race will be dominated by Utensilnord. It will be interesting to see who their main guy will be, my guess is Lovassy, he is the fastest on the line (beat Mezgec last year), but Dér and Kusztor are also legitimate choices.

Norway ITT: Hushovd and EBH with the exact same time on the first split. I'll be back with more...

Update: Edvald 10 secs ahead of Thor on the second split.

Finished:

1 Edvald Boasson Hagen 36'04''
2 Thor Hushovd +26''
3 Reidar Borgersen +42''
