Looks like is trying get stronger for TT and TTT http://us1.campaign-archive2.com/?u=f58c37e0d6bb5b0b2d5f68ec8&id=0c5a52bc40&e=8f5a986075

Going be interesting for mens road race as last year he had a whole team gang on everyone ie Avanti , which course neutralized the other World Tour Riders from attacking and geting away. Going be interesting if going be strong pace weeds them out, chanced move or a bunch kick. As course is what call suited to everyone in right situation.

It means that both of their neopros are national TT champions, which is a bit unusual. Perhaps an indication that they are looking to improve their TTT abilities, given that it was once their greatest strength but in recent years they have been desperately poor at it. Swapping Dan Martin for Rigoberto Uran won't have hurt in that regard either.
I don't think they've hired Bevin for his TT abilities, neither their other signings suggest they've been looking particularly strongly to improve their TTTs. Surely, Mullen is one of the biggest TT talents out there but apart from him I don't see any transfers with TTT on mind. Uran is capable of very good TTs but he was hired for different goals, no doubt.

You would think their typical GT team with all of their Rollands, Cardosos, Slagters, Dombrowskis, Howeses, Villellas and Formolos will still be lower half of the field TT-wise. And their best 6 for WC TTT will still be far off the best since they still don't have anyone from the world's top20 or even top30 ITT specialists, unless Mullen makes a big impact as a neo-pro (maybe Uran, but on a pure flat TT not after 2 weeks of racing I'm not sure if he is world's top20).

Overall, they've improved their roster TT-wise a bit but that's not enough to guarantee anything.

I think Bevin has much more potential then Haas. I also read something about his training numbers (which were very impressive) about 6 months ago, tried to google it but unfortunately did not succees.

Christie attacked on the penultimate climb of Spencer Road and held off chasers on a hot and windy day. Gutsy attack as the final loop after the hilly city loops out into the city environs was flat before returning to the finish and he was riding out into a head wind on his own. Worthy winner!

Wow, what a race! 5 guys caught by another small group in the last 1.5k. Greg Daniel(21), who was in almost all the major moves, attacks solo for the win.

Alex Howes and Travis McCabe fill out podium

Any predictions for national championships taking place this coming week, or any indications of what the parcours are like.

Terpstra is injured and unable to defend his dutch title, in a recent interview he claimed victory would be difficult as it a course more suited to sprinters this year so I would hedge my bets potentially on Groenewegen or Hofland for that.

Dan Martin, Sam Bennett(Tour Prep)and Philip Deignan are not participating in the Irish nationals leaving Nicolas Roche, Ryan Mullen and Matt Brammeier as the main contenders, although Mullen got injured this week so should be Roche and Brammeier to battle it out although Eddie Dunbar is in with a good shout also and could well take the TT as Mullen may not participate.

Course for the British championship is flat from what i gather and with Kennaugh injured he wont be making it three in a row. I would have penciled in Cav for this but he pulled out of Slovenia today with illness so perhaps a chance for Ben Swift to take the win?

Surely two certain results will be a Movistar winner of the Spanish road race given their sheer strength in numbers although an outsider would be nice given their monstrosities of national championship jersey and Tony Martin to once again retain his German TT title.

Lets hope for some good / proper national champions jerseys this year.

Any thoughts / info on parcours the various events this week?

Danish race is a little bit hilly... for a Danish race.
However, what I'm interested in more than the route is the riders, or rather the team-constellations.
Of course the local conti-teams have full rosters, but other than Stölting with - potentially - seven, the majority of the riders on pro-conti and WT are on very small teams.

Yeah, Stölting are the favourites to win the race imo. In Mads Pedersen they probably have the most in-form leader while they also have Guldhammer and Kamp who could potentially win the race as well as strong guys like Quaade and Norman who could go into breaks etc.

The duo of Orica, Cort and Juul-Jensen, are both in good shape but they will be outnumbered. Same with Breschel and Mørkøv.

I hope to see Mads Würtz deliver a good result too.

What's the italian parcours?

Btw, this is from Portugal's NC. Like last year.

Well, Breschel and Mørkøv will definitely be outnumbered! They'll be so outnumbered they'll even be riding against each other. :p
Dunno if the Tinkoff duo could do anything.

As for Mads Würtz winning; you don't think he's raked up enough championship jerseys already?
