Ugh Rojas. For once a reason to be thankful for Movistar's horrible invisible national jerseys.
I'm sure Rojas will request a great big flag on there - complete with the Águila de San Juan.

He's probably trying to convince Unzue that the jersey would look a lot better with a yoke and arrows symbol.

Or, you know, just the personal coat of arms of Franco if the yoke and arrows isn't possible. Just a small one.

Where does this implied Rojas affinity with Francoism come from? Something I've missed?

Cheers.

When asked what person he most admired for one of those little rider profiles he answered Francisco Franco. It's not really implied. He's a far right loony tune.
Yeah, I think it was in a magazine a few years ago (Pedalier Pro?). To be honest, respecting Franco is unfortuntely pretty common in Spain (just look at the disgraceful Valle de los Caidos!) but normally amongst much older generations. So it's difficult to know if Rojas is really a far right nutter, or just an ignorant idiot. Tbh, I'm not prepared to give him the benefit of the doubt though.

Wow, that's really disgusting. Glad he almost never wins anything important.

He is like cycling's Di Canio, nobody knows if these sentiments are due to him being completely ignorant of what it actually means or if he is a fascist. DFA and Zinoviev letter answered you question I believe.

Nice gesture by Peter. He's wearing the WCRR jersey anyway, so I guess he might as well gift the national jersey to his brother.
yeah,it would not fit :D
was not gift tho,Juraj was great today and Peter fatigued after strong effort on flats (but they were obviously agreed) :)

In Poland there is 12-men break including Huzarski, Kwiatkowski, Gołaś, Majka, Wiśniowski, Mrożek, Paterski, Zieliński, Warchoł, Rutkiewicz, Łukasz Bodnar and Domagalski. They have 2 minutes advantage over peloton led by Verva riders. There is still a lot of racing to be done.

In Germany, 120km to go:

1st group
Hermann Keller (Rad Union 1913 Wangen i. A. e.V.), Andreas Schillinger (Bora-Argon 18), André Greipel (Lotto Soudal), Nils Politt (Team Katusha), Jonas Koch (Team Verva Active Jet), Marcel Franz (Lkt Team Brandenburg), Timon Loderer (Rad Union 1913 Wangen i. A. e.V.), Julian Schulze (Christina Jewelry Pro Cycling)

2nd group at 7 seconds
Rüdiger Selig (Bora-Argon 18), Patrick Gretsch (AG2R - La Mondiale), Tony Martin (Etixx - Quick Step), Simon Geschke (Team Giant - Alpecin), Lennard Kämna (Stölting Service Group), Alexander Krieger (Leopard Development Team), Maximilian Schachmann (Team Klein Constantin), Robert William Kessler (Lkt Team Brandenburg), Fabian Danner (Rad Union 1913 Wangen i. A. e.V.)

Peloton at 22 seconds

German ticker: http://www.rad-net.de/modules.php?name=liveticker&tid=58&tview=liveticker

Update Gretsch, Martin, Kämna are about to join the first group. The rest of the second group is back with the peloton.

Majka and Rutkiewicz on attack. Kwiatkowski in group behind. Either not in shape yet or wants others to work first. Previously it was Kwiatkowski that initiated attacks and drove the pace, later him and Majka pulled.

Wonder what's going to happen with Rio selection. Majka and Kwiatkowski for sure, 90% Bodnar because of ITT, I think Bialoblocki lost selection in the Poland Championship ITT. What's left is Niemiec, Rutkiewicz, Paterski, Poljanski.
Probably one of those and no 2nd rider in ITT (doubt Kwiatkowski wants to start)
