No odea what to expect from Fabbro in the Italian RR. With his Tirreno legs or the form he had last year in t-a and the Giro he could be a dark horse. That said, 2 years ago he finished 8th on an easier route without showing anything big beforehand, that year they also raced with almost 40 degrees Celsius.

That's Muzic to my ears!
She won the junior RR title in 2017, the U23 one in 2019 and now the elite championship in 2021.
I expect her to dethrone the president in 2023.
She will probably get the best national champion's jersey in the sport, since the women's FDJ team isn't even encumbered by Groupama and can just get on with being classy.

And don't fear her being dropped on the climb in that group, she's probably the best climber in it :p

Mick van Dijke generously let his brother win the U23 RR.
I wonder what happened to Marco Brenner, he lost more than 8 minutes to Martin. Not a good day for DSM in Germany.

I thought both FDJs basically went by the tactic of "Who gives a *** about sponsors? We have a national champion!"

Actually their mannmanagement has been poor recently.
They missed out on quite a few manns, including Super-mann, and now they will let go of Ackermann? Poor!

They discovered, that Pascal is actually a poor mann's mann. And if they brought him to the Tour, he would have had to sprint against his teammate manno a manno.

German route:

In case you're not out swimming today or, like me, have only planned to do that later, there's a live-stream in a about 25 minutes for the women, and in the afternoon (14.30 German time) for the men's race:

Course suggests Liane should be favourite here unless the profile is overexaggerating the climb.

I guess it's between her and Lisa Brennauer, maybe Clara Koppenburg on a good day.

Group of seven leading the race:
Lisa Brennauer, Ricarda Bauernfeind, Kathrin Hammes, Carolin Schiff, Clara Koppenburg, Hannah Ludwig, Liane Lippert
