4th quarter now... whichever way things turn out I'm starting to like this Purdy kid. Sure, he may be a bit small, but judging by the amount of grass he's wearing on his jersey it looks like he can take some hits!

Score is even now at 16 with almost 6 mins to go... haven't been keeping track of the time-outs, but traditionally the final 2 minutes can take an eternity...

There's already talk of an MVP? Does anyone stick in particular so far??

What I can say - the Gunslinger has done it again! His passing & running tore up the 9ers D in the 2nd half! This is playmaking at it's best. 3xSB MVP! - he's on a trajectory to be the GOAT (he's a sizzling 15-3 in postseason). Nice game-winning catch by little known Mecole Hardman! (he wasn't even with the Chiefs until the second half of the season). Three SBs in the last five years - a definite dynasty in Chief nation!

Great effort by the 9ers but the missed extra-point came back to haunt them. Purdy showed he's clearly a franchise QB. Christian Mac is the best RB in the league right now. Bright future for this young team. They're already the favorites for next year's SB.

Niners shot themselves in the foot, literally, and let the Chiefs hang around for too long. Niners couldn’t convert on the Chiefs mistakes and miscues while Chiefs hung on. Chiefs show they’re the champs despite a poor to bad offensive year.
Half the time KC looked like they had been partying on the strip too hard last night, but they weren't bothered and pulled through.

Wow, I was hoping for a better Elvis impersonator than Kelce.

That punt miscue brought Chiefs more life and they cleaned up their mistakes. Chiefs defense played lights out again.

You can’t reward the MVP to the entire defense and special team, otherwise they would have got it. They kept the offense in the game the whole night until Mahomes drove down the field and won. Definitely a dynasty and could win three in a row if they can keep this defense together. I’ve always said Patriots were the only team that could have won 5 in a row from 2014-2018 potentially but Chiefs could have won 6 in a row if it went their way.

That’s missed point didn’t cost the Niners, the Chiefs wouldn’t have been playing with the field goal in their back pocket for overtime. They would have won with a touchdown at the end instead of tying it. Just like they won in overtime by not keeping the field goal. Chiefs had let the clock wind all the at down, if that wasn’t dropped or scored they would have ran out of time to kick a field goal. The Chiefs punt hitting the niner in the leg is what cost them the game, otherwise Niners win by 7.

49ers had plenty of opportunities but couldn't finish it off. Kansas defense once again came to the rescue this season and with so much time left on the clock for Mahomes it seemed inevitable. Moody miss was big, Greenlaw injury possibly bigger. Came down to a few plays. Prethy much the script for the Chiefs all season. They only scored over 30 twice . 49ers will be majorly disappointed especially the players that also lost to the Chiefs in 2019 not to mention Shanahan of course who has figured in three SB losses now. Up and down game but pretty entertaining but as a 49ers fan I find myself sympathizing a lot more with Bills fans these days...............

Yes the missed punt was the game killer. McLeod was shouting at Luter to get out of the way but strangely he wasn't looking up for the ball and it hit him on the back of the foot giving McLeod an awkward bounce to deal with. Critical mistake.
