Would be a big pickup for the Lions if they do get Crosby and I’d think he’d fight right in with the culture.

Already a minor owner and rumors running rampant. Though my cousin-in-law who works for the Raiders got to meet Brady when he entered the building as an owner.

Smokin’ Jay still having zero care in the world.

Honestly poor Patrick, he seems like a well rounded individual but his family is always causing issues.

Fields is a top dual-threat QB. He's got RB size & speed (227 lbs/4.46). Currently he's 4th among QB rushing yds (231) behind Jackson, Daniels & Murray but 1st in rushing TDs (5). Granted his passing rating is only 20th (54) and needs improving. But consider Nix has the 5th worst rating at 44, and with the Broncos only at 3-3, Payton isn't entertaining a QB change.

With all the mountains of new data used in pro football, which I don't have access to, both guys are decent at throwing out of the pocket, Fields better runner currently and a stat I just feel is yards after contact. Fields is way taller, ten years younger. If Mike Tomlin thinks he has dual weapons, so be it, if Steelers lose or get behind, regardless of the game locker room is going to get a gut punch without defined leader. Wilson is statistically there , 35 years old is end of the range, probably for good reason. Big flaw I see with Justin Fields is his decision making, he sees the field very very fast, even w Bears, he only looks for a nano second deciding coverage is too good and quickly tucks it and runs or makes hurried throws.
Wilson has winning somewhere in his memory card, can he access it again, consistently? I don't know.
Nix looked decent and was gaining confidence throughout

Boring TNF game (I thought it'd be a lot closer). Vance Joseph's punishing D & the Bronco run game (226 yds) won the day. Williams best game so far this season with 88 yds & 2 scores. And what can say about Nix - 75 yds on 10 carries. He's deceptively fast when takes off from the pocket. I think we've got a dual-threat QB here in Denver, though he wasn't a running QB at either Auburn or Oregon (interestingly, he was listed as a "dual-threat" coming out of HS as a 5-star recruit).

Surprisingly the Broncos are sitting at 4-3 at almost the halfway point of the season - who would had thought. However, the real test is coming up as to whether or not this team is a legitimate playoff contender. After the miserable Panthers come into town, their following 3 games are: @ Baltimore, @ KC & home vs Atlanta. We'll know so much more after these 3 games.

League of attrition.

I'll still be surprised if the Raiders trade Maxx Crosby. If they do, it won't be for DK. I see no way that happens. Why? Because they are basically the same age, entering their prime. My guess is the Raiders are looking to stockpile draft picks, and cap space for 2025 and beyond. DK wouldn't fit into that. I also think an elite edge rusher is more valuable than an elite WR. Just look at the last two years in Vegas. Crosby has been a much more central figure, much bigger contributor to wins than Adams was. Adams put up numbers, but there's hardly a highlight reel of him leading the Raiders to wins. The gap DK would fill would be nowhere near the void left behind if Crosby left.

Raiders actually have several young, talented players they could build on for the future. Bowers, Parham, JPJ, Tucker, Hobbs, Jones, Deabolo, Koonce, Bennett. All in their early to mid-20s. Maxx is just 27, and Wilkins only 28. So there's a foundation here. The team just has very poor depth, and a weak OL with zero depth. And no real starting QB. I do think O'Connell can make a good "bridge" until the Raiders find someone, though. Minshew? Just too wild, too many risky throws. They also have an OC stuck in 1987, and I'm starting to worry their HC is the next Mike Singletary.

Each day that passes, I have an increasing feeling Tom Brady will be the de facto controlling owner of the Raiders. Starting soon, and probably for the rest of my lifetime. My gut says he could call Mark Davis and Tom Telesco before the trade deadline and tell them it's time to move Crosby in a major trade, and it would happen.

eek. Brady and the Raiders —in my mind they just don’t fit together. Smoothly, button-down Brady as a successor to the crazy Al Davis legacy.

Damn—I see the Hawks will be facing Cousins with two guys from the taxi squad starting at corner and nickel.

For all the planning, matchups, offensive and defensive strategies, and crunched data, it sometimes seems that aside from the Chiefs with Mahomes, winning in the NFL is about which teams can stay the healthiest.

ed. One would think spellcheck would recognize “Mahomes” by now and not try to change it to Maloney!

NE@JAX - Will anyone wake up early to watch this one? If Jacksonville doesn't win, and look good doing so, heads may roll. Maybe even Pederson, though I don't think it's really his fault. Lawerence has "improved" to slightly above average the last two weeks.
SEA@ATL - I'll take the Falcons here. At home, playing well, pretty healthy.
CIN@CLE - The makings of a possible blowout. The Bengal defense has underwhelmed, and here is their chance to take that out on a flatlined team. Bengals should win by something like 30-6.
HOU@GB - Here we go! Two young teams with talented players and depth!
DET@MIN - Another big game! I think the Lions are going to spoil the Viking run.
KC@SF - While some see a revenge game, the Chiefs are playing more consistent, and more healthy. I see them going ahead and staying ahead for a solid win.
NYJ@PIT - Despite all the hype reuniting Rodgers and Adams, the only way the Steelers lose this is they (or just Wilson) blow it.

BAL@TB - I like the Ravens, presuming their D holds things together.

Bengals need another win and this should be one. The Browns have Chubb activated but it probably won't be enough.

Tipping the 49ers to upset the Chiefs. Something tells me the Chiefs are due for a loss in a close game.

Think the Buccs will also push the Ravens. Buccs in an upset.

Detroit and the Vikings should be a very good game. Lions to win.

Houston and GB could be the game of the round. Texans to win.

Jets need a win but don't think they will.

Same for Seattle. Falcons in a close one.

RedZone is the answer. The most basic plan on NFL+ gives you this (watch on an app only though, so one really needs a tablet, preferably one you can project to a TV), plus you can later watch complete games, condensed versions, or A-22 film. The condensed games (entire game in about 40 minutes) are terrific for swallowing an entire week of games!

Dolphins disappointing again after getting the lead. Still can’t play well when they get muscled by the opposing team.

A huge win for the Lions over the Vikings despite trying to literally fumble it away. This should have been the nationally televised game in hindsight. They look like the best team so far and Goff has been playing extremely well while both sides of the ball grinds the opposing team down. Number one in the NFC and in the driving seat.

Chiefs defense with another huge game completely manhandling the Niners which helped cause them to commit even more errors. Niners can’t get past their Chiefs problem and have even more injuries to hamper them. “The Gunslinger” still isn’t passing the ball well but who needs that when you let out your inner Mike Vick and the team is rushing the ball well. Like the Lions they can grind the opponent down on offense while their superior defense takes control of the game. Bucs, Bills, and one of the AFCW games KC is the home team are the only loses I see.

Still think it will be Chiefs vs Lions Super Bowl but with the pickup of Cooper Bills are frisky.

Bengals had a great win to keep their season afloat while a tough injury for Watson though overall Browns have to be happy he’s out.

Bills looked great and Allen still has zero interceptions. How their season will go depends on what happens against their regular season game vs Chiefs.

Russell Wilson is looking lukewarm at best and definitely hearing it from the fans. Wouldn’t be surprised if Fields starts the third quarter if this continues, otherwise there might be a lot of dirty towels on the field.

The Gunslinger sure wasn't slinging the ball. Lol. Less than 175 yds passing & no TDs - when was the last time that happened? Great Chiefs D & solid run game: 184 yds/4 TDs vs 101 yds/2 TDs for the Niners. If your D is playing good & you rush for near 200 yds & 4 TDs, you'll win the game. Niners definitely have offensive problems - we'll see if things change when CMC comes back.

My guess is Watson will never play in the NFL again. Nice to see Nick Chubb back, scoring a Browns TD.

Goff playing so clutch, was big, like a playoff game that should have been on national TV. Vikings will still be good. Darnold played decent, but didn't step up when it mattered most. Lions are a powerhouse of a team, focused, overcame mistakes, full pedal to the metal. Chiefs may be the only unbeaten team, but the Lions are the best team in the NFL, right now at least.

49er problems are increasingly apparent. They can't block a blitz. Their D cannot get a consistent pass rush. Very inconsistent run game. I was surprised to see Mahomes able to run so much on them.

Impressive win for Packers. Love looked flustered late, but played great in that last drive.

Seattle's upending Atlanta was impressive, especially their offense.

Steelers run game and defense (and the Jets garbage offense), making it easy on Wilson.

Jets are now 0-2 after firing Saleh - nothing like an early season coaching change to get things turned around. Lol
And 2-5 when last year they were 4-3. Offense still making mistakes and miscues, which funny enough Rodgers said doesn’t matter going to practice to iron out. Jets are in a free fall and their kicker might be the next fired. Adams also went from a team that lost to the Steelers to lose to them again the next week. That might be a first.

Wilson had some bright moments and improved from his first few drives, but was helped tremendously with Pickett catching his lollipop passes and under threw plenty of balls. On his deep ball, it was reminiscent of the 2014 NFCGC. Jets felt defeated and their defense held on as long as it could before the wheels fell off. Steelers could ride their defense and run game to the playoffs as most of the other wild card threats don’t look as much of a threat so far.
