We have an antenna on our roof, and a fire stick stuck in the side of the TV. We always have one streaming service (Peacock for SX, MX, SMX, cycling...), and frequently two ( a rotation of Hulu and Prime) depending on what they have that we want to watch. We had Netflix starting WAY back when our Blockbuster closed (2009?), but we haven't had it for several years now. I may explore more YouTube option in the future...maybe.
We got YouTube TV this year for the NFL games mc it’s basically cable but on YouTube. Then streaming we have Netflix, Hulu, Disneyplus, Prime, and Peacock. It’s definitely getting crazy with subscriptions, adding in our gaming systems.

Mahomes had two deep passes, otherwise it was a lot of YAC. Yes a lot of quarterbacks would look good to great on the team, I already gave you a list. Though it was funny, one of the commentators did call Mahomes a gunslinger like Favre. But the offense looked good, it definitely looked like their playbook was more opened up with Brown there, and they were able to get the deep passes connection. And I agree, Chiefs definitely sitting everyone and at most playing a drive or two. Even with their backups I think they have a chance against the Broncos who haven’t been playing well as of late too.
Do you have any evidence that the list of QBs you provided would be great on the Chiefs? I think it's pure speculation & conjecture on your part. Besides, some of the QBs on your list have played with great defenses & offensive talent and they're not winning SBs, let alone even getting to the SB.

Take Jackson, who just broke Vick's rushing record & is now the best dual-threat QB in the history of the game, had some really great defenses. The two years that he was MVP, he had a top-tier defense. Last year the defense was #1 in points per game, sacks & takeaways. #1 seed last year but stall in the championship game losing to the "game manager." Lol In 2019, the defense was #3 in points per game & top 5 in sacks & takeaways, but again lose in the championship game. Jackson is only 2-4 with no SB appearances - why is that Shadow? Great defenses, offensive talent - WTH is going on here?

Allen hasn't had any great defenses like Jackson, but he's had some very good offensive talent. However, I clearly put him in the Mahomes category - an incredibly talented passer & playmaker (as I said before, Allen is basically a TE that can throw the snot out of the ball). And factor in his running ability, he's a serious dual-threat. But he's only 5-5 in the playoffs with no SB appearances (hopefully that can change soon). Stafford has won a SB while both Hurts & Burrow have played in one - though all 3 have different styles of play. Stafford is a gunslinger throwing for several 4000 + & one 5000 yd seasons. Burrow also looks to be a slinger & playmaker and would benefit from a better D. But that's on the stupid coach to not have figured that out earlier & do something about it. Lol. Hurts is a dual-threat RPO with identical style of play to Jackson (he would not fit into Reid's offense). All in all, these guys are already somewhat successful with plenty of upside left especially with Burrow & Hurts (Hurts is 5-5 & Burrow 5-2 in the postseason).

Your other guys mentioned; Goff, Love, Stroud, Tua, Lawrence & Herbert: All these guys have made the playoffs with most winning a playoff game - so there's a degree of success there with plenty of upside - if they can stay healthy. How much better they would be on Reid's club is a guess. I'm not convinced of their playmaking ability compared to Mahomes or Allen. And Tua, Lawrence & Herbert are starting to have their careers derailed by injuries (I think the new standard with most owners is just make & win a playoff game every season keeping your franchise QB healthy).

What I'm emphasizing with Mahomes is not just his superior arm talent but his playmaking ability. There's not a coach on planet that wouldn't take a playmaker at QB over anything else. Here's the "game manager" making another incredible play in the game yesterday. Lol

Defensive grind tonight. Seattle's ability to get relentless pressure on Caleb was something. That was the game. Seahawks need Cards to beat the Rams.

Here's the article in The Athletic on Woody Johnson. If you don't have a subscription you can go to archive.ph then paste in the URL, and read it for free. Works 99% of the time, but often doesn't have pictures or other media.

Mike Florio brought up a really good point a week or so ago. He blamed John Madden for today's owners meddling as much as they do. Why? Because Madden was so good at distilling complexities of the NFL down to where the common man felt like they he understood what's going on.

Browns, Watson... Are they out of their minds?!? Maybe they are just planning to go 0-17 and tank for Arch Manning? This is about the 4th time they've restructured his contract, including earlier this year. But no matter what they do, they have to pay him every penny. My suggestion is to keep him on the PUP list next year, don't let him on the field, or even in the building if you can. And cut him after the 2025 season and just eat the dead money. Rip the bandaid off.

Games tomorrow:

LAC@NE - May be another somewhat low scoring game. But the Chargers should win fairly easily.
DEN@CIN - Bengals must win to stay alive, Denver would sure like to win. This could be a pretty good game!
ARI@LAR - Cardinals would love to play spoiler and wreck the Rams season, in LA. Which Rams team shows up though?

Yes the guaranteed money has killed any chance of real flexibility until 2026.........a meaningless adjustment at this stage, makes more sense to dump him now and move ahead with the next rebuild.

Think the Bengals will win and the Chargers. Give the Cards maybe a 30% chance of winning but as you say the Rams are unpredictable. Rams run defense will be the key. If they let Connor and Murray run they are in for a long day.

Chargers beat the crap out of the Patriots in all aspects. I’m surprised Mayo is staying for another year. Chargers have to be hoping Steelers lose again in order for them to be the 5 and go to the reeling Texans. Though then I think they’d be at Chiefs for the divisional round.

Great win for the Bengals after looking like they botched it with the late touchdown and missed field goal in overtime. Still need help with every team in the hunt losing a game and a big ask of the Chiefs backups beating the Broncos, and Chiefs could want the Broncos in over Bengals.

Rams should win tonight.

Missed all the games today - will have to look at the highlights. Props to the Chargers for clinching. Looks like Herbert had a great game & Dobbins played well on his first game back from injury. Maybe this team is peaking & they'll win a playoff game --- I can then take Herbert off my bust watch list. Lol.

Broncos blew the chance to clinch, but what a shootout it sounds like. Nix a solid game throwing the ball but Burrow was on fire. Over 400 yds & 3 scores - 20 catches between Higgins & Chase! Now Burrow is becoming the new gunslinger in the league.

From what it sounds like the Chiefs will be resting all or most of their starters (though it would be 23 days between last week's Pittsburgh game & their 1st rd playoff game after the bye). Broncos need a win or tie to clinch. I can't imagine the Bronco's starters losing to the Chief's reserves led by Wentz. Lol. Probably too little...too late for the Bengals. They need to hit the reset button for their defense & put something together for Burrow next year.

Chargers did bounce back from last week's bad loss. But it was shocking how bad the Patriots looked. Much worse than the team Belicheck last coached, but with better players this year. Mayo was supposed to be the hand-picked successor to Bill, and he appears completely, totally lost standing there on the sidelines. Deer in the headlights. Like he just can't grasp what's happening on the field in front of his eyes. More lost than Antonio Pierce in Vegas, more lost than Jeff Ulbrich at the Jets, more lost than Thomas Brown in Chicago, and that really says something. I have to wonder if the Krafts are just going to pull the plug on the Mayo experiment and hire Mike Vrabel to coach the team next year.

Cardinals sufficiently rolled over. Not sure how much longer Murray's time there will last. But the Rams offense simply not doing much. I find it hard to believe they will get far in the playoffs unless some magic happens. Granted, they beat Minnesota way back early in the season, but I'm sure the Vikings would welcome flying to LA in the playoffs and meeting them again, if it comes to that.

Anyone watch BYU stomp Colorado? All the endless talk about Shedeur Sanders, but also Colorado as a whole. Even while BYU was dominating the game, the ESPN announcers kept talking about them. Shedeur did nothing impressive, and the "he doesn't have a team" excuse won't fly in this narrative. His only decent throws were in garbage time, and a couple plays where Hunter bailed him out. Shedeur has an average arm, doesn’t make quick enough reads, struggled outside the numbers, wasn’t very mobile, and took way too many sacks - he runs backwards frequently to avoid a pass rush. There is not a single thing he does that stands out to me as a QB teams in the NFL will be eager to build upon. He reminds me of Tyler Huntley, Trevor Simeon, PJ Walker, Bailey Zappe, Desmond Ridder. That level of QB.

Rams have dropped off in the past few weeks with some unconvincing wins and for little points. Looks like one and done as they will have to play one of the top seeds unless their offense starts clicking again which won't be easy against better defenses. I like GB and the Vikings in the NFC at this stage. In two minds about the Eagles and Lions.

Still can't figure out how they were not only able to hang with the Bills, but actually beat them.

No QB could have done well with what was happening in the trenches last night.

Thoughts:
-He couldn't have put up the season numbers that he did if he is as bad as the tape from last night.
-I give him credit for playing and then sticking it out even when CU was getting hammered.
-We'll see how the draft goes and then how his 2025 season goes.

Chargers played okay but NE didn't show up anywhere.. Run defense, pass defense, not much pressure on Herbert, Pats offense, defense and special teams should have just agreed to forfeit at the coin toss if they were going to only phone it in..
Chargers get time off until January 5th against terrible Raiders, season has some of these miserable teams coming up w spoiler wins, I hope Chargers take the game seriously.

A matter of hours after I posted here, the NY Times (who must follow this thread ) posted that the Patriots need to fire Mayo and hire Mike Vrabel.

I don't care how much Colorado lost in the trenches, I was still completely unimpressed by Shedeur, a few athletic plays, and many poor decisions and below average play. And this guy is projected to go #1 overall in the draft and be an NFL team's franchise QB?

IND@NYG - Colts must beat Giants for any playoff chances. Should be easy as Giants are the worst team in the NFL.
NYJ@BUF - On paper, the Jets could play the Bills tough. On paper.
TEN@JAX - Tank Bowl (though Giants will get the #1 pick overall I think).
LVR@NO - Not quite a tank bowl. I'll take the Raiders here as they are playing slightly better, and the Saints worse.
CAR@TB - Tampa must win to keep playoff hope alive, and they should.
DAL@PHI - I'm certain Dallas would love to build upon last week's win over TB and take it to the Eagles.
MIA@CLE - Like a pre-season game for Browns, waiting to get Watson back. o_O
GB@MIN - This is the big one. Let's see who really has it. If Vikings win, next week against Detroit it's for all the marbles.

ATL@WAS - Atlanta needs to win to stay ahead of Tampa. Penix vs. Daniels.

DET@SF - I see no way the banged up, messy, 49ers win this game. It could be over by 2Q.
