49ers offense get them home and win their division. Purdy, CMC and Deebo do it again.
Their QB played pretty good too. Threw 4 TDs. Forget the guys name though. Not Darnold. I mean the other guy.
Flacco produces when he has to.
He threw 3 picks (one not his fault at all) but remained poised, and came up big when it mattered. The announcers at one point were talking about his influence and someone in the Cleveland org apparently said, "he's the adult in the room". This to me was very revealing. The team is stacked, but does have a lot of young players. Their two main QBs for the last few years were Deshaun Watson, and before him Baker Mayfield. I can easily imagine how a coach (and other players) did not think of either of them as an adult. Though Baker seems to have grown up this year.
Chiefs get a solid victory over the hapless Patriots.
Agree with everyone in that the Chiefs look like they did over a month ago. Efficient, effective, solid play. Granted, the Pats are terrible, but they came out swinging. They need help from a few teams to get HFA, but I too can easily see them getting to the AFC championship. I just think they could have a hard time going to Baltimore or Miami and winning, but we'll see. We're assuming of course these teams stay mostly healthy.

Fantastic win for Buffalo. They just slashed the Cowboys on the ground. Play after play. 176 yards for Cook. And Dak couldn't throw more than check downs. Game was over early and basically 31-3 until Dallas got a garbage TD.

Jags got bullied by the Ravens and made too many mistakes as well. Though unfortunately some more ref controversy with the incomplete call that was a touchdown at the end, not that Jags were coming back. Ravens definitely top of the AFC and it’d be hard to go into Baltimore to knock them off if they keep the 1 and go the distance.

Cowboys thoroughly outplayed on both sides of the ball. They gave up 266 yards against the run and made Cook look like a HOF running back. Allen only had 15 pass attempts for the game. Cowboys offense did nothing. Outplayed and outcoached and Cook dropped a sitter for another TD. And some of the penalties were ridiculous Late hits, running into kickers, no wonder they are the most penalized team in the league and have been near the top of the penalty count for a few seasons now.

For me another great weekend of football and the Dallas game was great. Buffalo defense was like a swarm of angry bees.
As everyone has said the quarterback makes the team it would appear, and quirky as it is, don't know if the kicker makes the team, but the lack of one, or if the wheels fall off the one you got, all hell breaks loose.
Lots of things to criticize for the NFL pushing a dangerous boundary w too long a season.. That said I am completely satisfied with the schedule w games 4 days a week.. It's causing relationship problems and I laughed really hard when I was asked " I thought football was Sunday w a Monday night game.. since when is American football on everyday!!! It's too much you need to watch it in the other room w the volume off!!!..and stop w all the yelling, nobody can hear you but me!!"
Something like that, but you get it

There weren't really any surprises with the W/L, but some of the scores might have been unexpected.

Lawrence in concussion protocol.

Go SEA!

Kazee (PIT) suspended for the rest of the season. Had this been his first infraction, it probably wouldn't be a suspension. Definitely a hit on a defenseless player, but he did avoid helmet to helmet contact.

Costly win for the Ravens:

His reaction was before body motion stopped on the play..network coverage was tasteful and the camera was off him quickly, despite that.. Everyone, myself included was thinking, that guy is in some real pain. Sad

Amusing reading from their fans complaining about the referees being out to get them.
Costly win for the Ravens:
They were already missing JK Dobbins. However, Gus Edwards has been their primary RB most of the season.

Uh, not really. Watch the link Nomad posted. His helmet hit him straight in the face mask, jarring his head back, hard. This hit was borderline Votez Burfect level the way he ran into hammer Pittman.

Tom Brady said the injury was partly Minshew's fault for causing Pittman to lay out like that and dive to catch the ball, making him vulnerable, and I think he's right, to a degree. It goes back to Steve Grogan throwing high to Daryl Stingley, after which Jack Tatum almost killed him. How much was Grogan to blame? Well, some. There was a throw back a zillion years ago by Terry Bradshaw where Lynn Swan was hammered (but was okay) and Bradshaw mentioned it many times being his fault. Some coaches (and QBs) say every errant throw in any way is the QBs fault. Gruden used to say that in his QB camp, it's always the QB's fault, and he had a point.

In the replays that I watched, his helmet barely grazed the face mask, but his shoulder hammered the helmet directly.

Maybe not helmet to helmet, but as I said, similar to Burfect hammering Brown with his shoulder. Almost that bad. Certainly valid enough to eject him for the season.

Incredible win for the Seahawks. Great win for Lock with some very impressive throws, and they didn't play it conservative with him. Best game of his entire career. Finally, finally showing he may actually have it to play in this league! Still just 27 years old.

I agree 100% that it was more than enough to get tossed from the game.

WOOHOO SEA!

Not surprised about Seattle, the Eagles previous two performances were mediocre against an overrated Cowboys who Seattle ran close and the Eagles defense against the 49ers was very suspect. The number one seed is in the 49ers hands now. They have the tiebreaker against the Cowboys and Eagles but the Ravens and Rams games won't be easy as both teams have something to play for, while they should beat Washington. Cowboys could slide further if they lose to the Dolphins. If Detroit wins out that will muddy the seedings even more and they have the easy schedule compared to the others. If the 49ers win all three games they get the top seed and they could still possibly do it if they drop a game.

That was not real was it? That didn't really happen.. Right?

It didn’t look good for a while, but the Seattle defense did enough to keep them in the game and Lock had a couple of career defining drives.

I know this isn’t the same high quality Eagles team from earlier, but hey, they still have a lot of good players on offense and the Seahawks won. Still have to win out to be sure, and it won’t be easy. A loss or two for the Rams wouldn’t hurt.

I’d hate to see the Niners with the top seed, but hey, if it helps the Hawks, so be it.

Eagles run defense exposed again. And their offense struggled as well. Huge plays down the stretch from Love, Lock and Metcalf. Hawks will be hoping for a Rams loss against a banged up Saints team but they also have the advantage of the 49ers playing the Rams in the final game and hoping that they haven't already locked up the one seed and decide to rest some players.

Going to the doctor today, having crazy dreams, bordering on hallucinations. Woke up thinking that Geno Smith changed his name, his race and won in the final minutes against the Philadelphia Eagles!! Everyone kept calling him Lock or Luck or something like that..not sure but I think part of it is being a Charger fan.. bad dreams are part of it..

I’ve seen a lot of dramatic come-from-behind heroics from the Hawks over the years (going as far back to the 1983 playoff win over Miami—a real stunner) but I can’t remember one that depended on not one, not two, but 3 incredible, highlight real sideline catches (Metcalf, Smith-Njigba, Love interception). If they miss just one of those 1st 2 they don’t win. They are not a very good football team, but that was Amazing.
